Who is M?

i want to know but. who is M?

i went to marbleland, i go to random levels and i checked on leaderboards. and M got the insane highscore! (like for example times: 00:08.666 or 00:32.353)

 

did M got the god skills to speedrun or smh? M is a speedrunner god? how is M doing?

 

I have been pondering this question for months — if not years. M has been a long-standing rival of mine, despite being entirely anonymous.

Unfortunately, the community knows no more than you do. M’s true identity will likely remain a mystery.

These times seem impossible. How did you attain them?

I don't get what you're trying to imply here, I'd by lying if I said I like it. But I'll entertain you for a bit.

Gem Region: I got the nearest time first to get the score I got, then took on the other three TTs in the next squares to lock my time in. .840 is the best time I got, my earlier attempt got me lower to around .774, but I always run out of time just as I make it to the finish, it might be possible to finish the level with some time left on the TT, but I couldn't get it.

Easy Rolling: I just did what you did, I popped the edge and made it to the finish line. It's pretty doable if you check the difference between your own time and mine, it's a .100 difference.

Jadonghwa Jungle: It'll be a while if I had to describe everything I had to do to get to the time I got here, I could produce a video that'll demonstrate everything I've done to get to the time I got if you want. But the gist of it consisted of taking every TT I saw and skipping major parts of the levels.


I don't want to turn this around you, but have you considered that the reason they're impossible is because there aren't that many people who are speedrunning customs? Im sure the boards would look different if someone like Xedron or Nockess were to spend their time running customs.

I appreciate you taking your time to respond. Could you provide a replay for Easy Rolling? After the level released, I obsessively tried (and failed) to get sub-4 for weeks before quitting from burnout. (This is not an exaggeration.)

There was no subtext; I am curious because the time genuinely seems impossible! I must be missing something, such as different jump timing or a slightly altered angle.

Would you mind also giving the replay for the new Easy Rolling? I encountered the same roadblock.

That is true; it is a matter of perspective. However, it seems impossible to me because I am not an elite player, and thus I have lower expectations. I was astonished when you got 3.965 on the original Easy Rolling, because I thought I had already optimised the level near its limit.

This is completely voluntary. I entirely understand if you lack the time or interest required to provide the replay.
