Seemingly in the blink of an eye, 2026 is halfway through! While this year’s Summer Premier continues to be the most active scene in the community for the meantime, June was otherwise a pretty routine month.
Stay cool, everyone. It’s been getting brutally hot out there.
Customs Roll Call
August and HappyTreeX1 take half of the Customs Roll Call lineup for June, as well as Booster’s appearance marking the second month in a row with a debutant! With the whole series now half over: HappyTreeX1 has featured on the most levels with 18, with August right behind him with 17. Powerjohn25 claims third on the friendly competition of series appearances with 10.
If you still happen to be unfamiliar with this event, Customs Roll Call is a year-long speedrunning event where twelve levels are announced at the beginning of every month. Players spend the month grinding for the best times, which are then compiled into a video released with the next group of levels.
Here is the video for June! July's levels are found at the end of the post.
Custom Levels
Most notably, during June, Ned returned in a flurry since releasing “Storm’s Eye” and “Gateway to Haven” way back in March 2020, publishing ten levels (including an update to “Scarlet Fever”) over the month! As for other standouts
- “Crenellation” (HappyTreeX1)
- "Between Waterfalls" (Ned)
- "Warming Up" (All4Vols98)
- "Rings for A Twist" (Zuma Chanel)
- "Blue, Orange, Green, Pink!" (plazma)
- “Jadonghwa Jungle” (SummerArmy)
Speedrunning
June continues an increasing revitalization of world records, particularly a lot of very exciting second landmarks broken on several levels, such as “Slip Up” and “Mini Marble Golf - DC” from Marble Blast Platinum and “Training Wheels” from PlatinumQuest. berserk’s new record on “Mountaintop Retreat” (Platinum, again) beats Cobalt’s time from all the way back in April 2020. One record not listed below is Xedron’s 43.861 on “Parallel World 2”, a nearly two-second improvement over Eguy’s time from July 2018(!!!), achieved three days shy of a full eight years later, back when the pack was still called “Custom Packs 30-39”.

Multiplayer
The 2026 Summer Premier is underway! 71 matches have been played over the course of the past three weeks.
In the Contender Division, Frostfire takes the top spot as the player currently with the most wins, having lost (or even conceded any games) only to ShadowVisions, who remains the sole undefeated player, although having played fewer matches than anyone else.

In the Challenger Division, Mystrox boasts six wins without a lost, most recently having beaten Endy who is right on his tail in the second spot. DKman00 shares Endy's record, but sits in third with one fewer win; he was swept 3-0 by Mystrox, while Endy was able to take a game himself.

In the Open Division—the only division where matchups are on a week-to-week basis rather than freely scheduling matches against all other opponents—A-Game and Keigo are the only two with perfect 3-0 records, however A-Game gets the top spot for not having lost any games, while Keigo conceded a game to plazma on Spires by one point.

One of the highlights of this year’s new format is the closer level of competition—an unprecedented 16 matches have gone to a fifth game, and we’ve been immensely fortunate to even see a sixth game with Wilchz vs. Jacob, decided by a three-point margin. There are still dozens of matches to be played; the playoffs haven’t even started yet!
July Preview
That wraps up June!
Well, the tournament is truly running wild, and it’s only full steam ahead until it comes to a close at the end of August (if all scheduling goes according to plan)—July will feature the rest of the Regular Season and the entire first round of the playoffs. Be sure not to miss any of the action!
Additionally, PlatinumQuest celebrates its ninth anniversary on the 6th, and Yoshicraft224 will be hosting the routine Anniversary Event during the second weekend of July: the traditional co-op run on Saturday the 11th, and the RTA race on Sunday the 12th.
There might be a little nod to the World Cup too. Keep an eye out.

May’s This Month in Marble Blast entry is fashionably late—your dear writer has been busy preparing to graduate from university and went on a semi-spontaneous camping trip for a weekend. Look at what happens when the weather gets nice.
PlatinumQuest 2.13.0
A much-deserved update to Marbleland was released with PlatinumQuest 2.13.0, revamping the custom level browser into a grid-style menu, and amassing 200 pages of levels!

Besides the new look, many of the features that have been available on the Marbleland website are now integrated into PlatinumQuest as well! Click on a creator’s username to browse the rest of their levels, leave comments and give loves to individual levels, and even register or log into Marbleland accounts.

Customs Roll Call
Powerjohn25 took August’s place this time around in claiming four of the twelve levels for May’s entry of Customs Roll Call, while charlemaniac makes his series debut.
If you still happen to be unfamiliar with this event, Customs Roll Call is a year-long speedrunning event where twelve levels are announced at the beginning of every month. Players spend the month grinding for the best times, which are then compiled into a video released with the next group of levels.
Here is the video for May! June's levels are found at the end of the post.
Custom Levels
May was a month for long-time returning or completely new faces releasing levels! RandomityGuy and Semick each had new custom uploads for the first time since 2023, and… is that Stormson??
- “Battlement Towers” (RandomityGuy)
- "Gem Regions" (abhishek839)
- "Perilous Complex" (Stormson)
- "Marble Mini Golf: Sky High Sprint" (Jaxx)
- "Absolute Recoil" (Semick)
- “Feel It” (aalex17)
Meanwhile, while not releasing anything in a pack, HappyTreeX1 found a cool niche in several levels he’s released recently, combining pairs of Marble Blast Gold levels in some cases or simply remaking one in his own style. “Dive of Faith” is pretty obvious from the name, as is “Whirling Gauntlet”. Meanwhile, “Law of the Jungle” is a neat take on the perilous “Survival of the Fittest”.
Speedrunning
May saw a small step up in the speedrunning scene! Powerjohn25 continues to boast the majority of the new best times, being one of the very few active marblers only interested in singleplayer gameplay and not touching competitive Gem Hunt at all. What the list doesn’t show is the 12 consecutive new records Mushu (formerly Booster) set on “Hug the Wall”... but it does show off the nearly eight seconds of improvement. Crazy, these days.
Marble Blast Platinum:
-
Crash Course – 5.739 (Mystrox) – prev. 5.989 (Powerjohn25)
-
Ring Stunts – 22.306 (Powerjohn25) – prev. 22.514 (Xedron)
-
Hug the Wall – 16.960 (Mushu) – prev. 24.727 (Powerjohn25)
-
Platformer – 11.727 (Mushu) – prev. 12.055 (Powerjohn25)
Marble Blast Ultra:
-
Gem Crossroads – 19.532 (Powerjohn25) – prev. 19.627 (Battlecube314)
PlatinumQuest:
-
Training Wheels – 16.947 (Charlix) – prev. 17.045 (Charlix)
-
Platinum Construction Co. – 222 (Powerjohn25) – prev. 217 (Powerjohn25)
- Corner Conquest – 47.837 (Powerjohn25) – prev. 47.883 (Mazik)
Custom Levels:
-
Six Fold Race – 32.241 (Mystrox) – prev. 32.890 (August)
-
Deeply Relaxed – 23.220 (Powerjohn25) – prev. 23.389 (August)
- Path o’ Petals – 17.504 (Powerjohn25) – prev. 20.864 (August)
Staff Changes
Huge congratulations are in store for our beloved ShadowVisions, who has been a boundless force in the multiplayer scene: hosting the past six tournaments since the 2025 Winter Warm-Up, creating the Hunt Bot, hours of casting and video content—it would be somewhat of an understatement to say he has revitalized the presence of Gem Hunt in the Marble Blast space in only about a year and a half, all while being a widely-praised role model in the community simply as a person. It is a pleasure for him to be the newest addition to the staff!
However, life always finds a way to retain some balance, as Mazik resigned from his staff position while he prioritizes his personal wellbeing. Alongside his announcement came a nearly 60-page essay on Gem Hunt luck and an hour-long ninth entry to his “Satisfying Runs” series. All love and appreciation for his time in the community.
Multiplayer
The 2026 Summer Premier is just around the corner! Firstly, “Tilo”, “Apex”, “Narrows”, and “Promontory” were selected as the maps for the Pre-Seed Round—two weeks have been given to submit scores, and the first round of matches will commence on June 15th.
Secondly, based on the current turnout for the tournament, a few changes have been made to the format:
-
The Contender Division has been split into two: The Contender Division and the Challenger Division. The former will feature the eight returning qualified players from the 2025 Summer Premier and 2026 Winter Warm-Up; the latter will feature the top 8 from the 2026 Summer Premier’s Pre-Seed Round who aren’t already qualified for the Contender Division. The Open Division remains unchanged.
-
With the reduced size of the divisions, the regular season will switch from the usual Swiss Rounds format to a Round Robin style, specifically for the Contender and Challenger Divisions. This means everyone will play everyone else in their division once, allowing for knowing who players’ future opponents will be, luck of matchup draws, and the flexibility of scheduling matches over the entire four weeks of the regular season. Once again, the Open Division remains unchanged, retaining the familiar Swiss format.
Finally, co-host Jean has asked for donations to help fund the dedicated multiplayer servers that practically make these tournaments even happen in the first place. “Hillsboro” (US West), “Ashburn” (US East), and “Nuremberg” (Western Europe) have been ever-present in the Gem Hunt scene for months now, and a server based in Singapore is hoped to be reintroduced during the Summer Premier. Only if you are able to afford to pitch in, any help is worthwhile! Otherwise, your presence and enthusiasm for mega marbles is more than enough.
