If you were to set up a new computer for yourself today, what would be the essential things you install?
Here are mine, as a Mac user:
(i) Marble Blast Gold, obviously.
(ii) PlatinumQuest, obviously.
(iii) Discord, not just for MB but for communicating with other friends as well
(iv) Pages, Numbers, and Keynote for any miscellaneous productivity (mainly Numbers for spreadsheets)
(v) MuseScore for transcribing music (not composing)
(vi) Pixelmator Pro for editing photos
(vii) Sublime Text, my preferred text editor if I have to work with anything that isn't plain text
(viii) TeXShop, which is a bit of a carryover from university when I had to type a bunch of math, but I also find it useful for making professional-looking documents in general
I use the built-in Safari as my browser. On this laptop I also have Firefox, but I wouldn't call that "essential". I've included a poll about browsers for your enjoyment.
