Well, after much testing... and re-testing... here is my newest level. (Already? Wow, we get a new level from MM1 not 6 months later!)

Anyway, details and download are in the main post. Hope you enjoy Castle of Inversion!

Also, big thanks to maingi for testing the level and providing feedback that hopefully will make it less frustrating for people.

Pretty fun level. Side 1 >> Side 2 though, I thought you could have done a lot more with the flip side. I don't think the gravity code really added anything to the level, but I will give you that it is a more elegant solution than a gravity modifier. Also, there were two spots with texturing issues (just so you know for next time): Constructor's scale texture to fit button is very useful, you can divide the texture scale by how every many squares you want. And floating gems on the first side, I'm guessing you built the flip side as ground in Constructor since all those gems are aligned.

Thanks PF! Actually, I didn't use constructor at all; I use QuArK for my levels.
(And I used the LE to align the gems )

Also, where were the texture issues? I couldn't find any when I tested the level.

Oh woops I accidentally deleted that sentence. One on the platform right before the ice section on the flip side of the map, the other on the backside of the curved ramp.

So you probably saw a new post in this thread and thought, Woot! A new level!

Unfortunately, that is not the case this time. I am, however, working on a level at the moment, and I thought I'd post here to tell everyone I'm not dead in the level-making world. It'll be out soon(tm)!

I will give one clue in regards to what the level contains: The name is Frozen in Time.

Double post, but it's my own level thread, so whatever.
Frozen in Time WHERe? Still in development. But here's an idea of what kind of level it will be.

The part of the level you are seeing here is about half of it; the other half, like all of my levels seem to be nowadays, will be on an upper level. But the general premise is that it will be a maze-like level, with lots of shortcuts. As for why it's called Frozen in Time... Well, you'll have to wait for that detail.

As you can see, there is still much work to be done, such as scenery, trimming, gems, and the upper part of the level.

Looks interesting. Looking forward to see the result. Also what would make this level more interesting is if it had different pathway colors. Otherwise it looks a bit dull green only.

Some guy that does DTS shapes and levels.

AWESOME time HINT : When making PQ level place your custom interiors and textures in platinum/data/interiors_pq/custom
makes life easier for you and everyone else :)

I agree with this. The level looks good so far though!

I have added a link to download all of my Advent calendar levels in one convenient zip file, in case anyone's interested.

Bumping (defined as posting in a topic with no activity in the last 90 days) is common among new members, but is not encouraged unless the issue addressed in the thread was not properly resolved OR the thread is stickied.

Last post December 26, 2013. That's within the past 90 days, right?

Joking aside, I have (finally) completed a new level: Tidal Surge! It's a Gem Madness level for PQ, with the unique mechanic of rising and falling water. Details and downloads are in the original post. And as always, please let me know what you think of the level.

EDIT: Fixed a problem with the interior file being in the wrong directory. If you've already downloaded the level, please redownload.

EDIT 2: Did you know that the wall texture I used is different and much less flat in interiors_pq? And, therefore, that texture misalignments stand out a LOT more? Re-uploaded again with them fixed.

EDIT 3: Fixed a couple misplaced gems and items.

New level! Hazardous Crossings is a challenging agility course based on a particular level in a particular video game.

Double post - hope this is alright. As a bit of a bonus level, I've released an extension of Tidal Surge where the water is permanently at its highest point, but is no longer OOB and the Super Jumps have been replaced with Bubbles. This level is completely untested, but it might be fun! Maybe.
