CGL#....9?

Thought this was the best spot for the topic. (high time, eh?)
I'm leading this CGL, if nobody participates I will still release it but with only one part.
I originally thought of doing a morph cgl but..... yeah.

Running list of participants and their sections.

1st: Avi
2nd: Buzzmusic
3rd: Nathan
4th: Avi
5th: Nathan
6th: Buzzmusic

more people it's just us three!

I am uploading a pic of my section. This is the kind of section which would be good. This pic is also for the style i want.
Please use the tile texture that I am using, but feel free to use any colour of it.
Each person is allowed to make 2 or 3 sections as long as they aren't hugungumungus.

Post a pic of the level so others can get an idea of the last section. I will order them by who posts first (unless they're funky and run into eachother)
and label it like i did. if not, discribe it for us.

Once you have completed your section, upload the .dif to a website OR if you would like just do level editor, and send the .mis and all, if possible, the .difs you used in it.
After all of the submissions have been sent in, I will build the level in Level Editor and release it in a new topic or in avi's custom level topic.

Just one thing, on your picture the part looks really short thought... As said elnathan it's better to make them like 30 seconds long, or it will be really short for a CGL!

Yes but i think i will make another or two more segments. I guess mine is kind of small but that is a tunnel so it took like an hour

A few of questions/suggestions:

Are sections allowed to have names?
As long as it takes about 30 seconds to complete, is there any limit to how big it can be?

As a suggestion, could you make exceptions to this if the order creates obvious shortcuts? For instance, if there was a gyrocopter right before my section, there would be a few really clear shortcuts.

Yes. I can add names in helptriggers. Like: "The Speed Boosting Mystery by Buzzmusic100"
As to how big they can be... it depends. If it has a big jump, that's ok. Just don't make the platforms like 10 tiles wide³

Good suggestion. If nothing can be done to avoid this i will resort to teleporters.

Great looking section Buzz! Could you try to stick to tan or brown or green textures to make the level match a teeny bit more?

I'm still making the sphere tutorial, but here's a quick overview for future use

Make a pie 8 sided, 8x8x 0.5

Rotate it 22.5˚ on z axis

make a cylandar on it's side above it, and size the cylandar to match up with the edges. Remember to change z axis to match

(this is 7.39105 for sizing, just hit "t" and type it in!)

Cut twice to make an x shape to get two segments that, on the top view, match up with two segments of pie
Delete unused section of cylandar and delete pie. Radial clone the two segments left 3 times at 45˚.

No need to get all upset, el nathan was just trying to help. This is CGL, where people work together, not argue.

Sorry for shouting. Maybe more brown and tan would be nice, but i still like rainbows.

I forgot all about gems thank you Buzz for sending the .mis. I don't know how i would have gotten around that.

My sections were so short I decided to make another. Since it has a moving platform and a teleporter I added it directly to the CGL (since it was right next to me anyways)
