...well, because I'm going to be making some in the near future. (now!)

Let's start this off with Office Space, a nice little run with some skinnys and some precise jumping.
[img]http://http://imgur.com/ZzqmvVi[/img]

It's more of a test really, but I like the way it turned out. Could be good for hunting. I don't think there are any cuts that I could see, but hey, I'm a noob.

Link is in the attachments, and soon in the files section under custom platinum levels.

Your level seems very nice, and I've just heard about you this morning for the first time and how much skill you have. Just to clarify, are you a noob at Marble Blast? Or a noob at level editing/posting. :cheer: If you need any help on a good format for level posting, you can ask someone like myself, Buzz, Pro Marbler, other staff who post a bunch of levels, or people I haven't mentioned that you might like help from. Good luck on your levels, and I'll see you around the community! :)

I am a noob at level editing for sure. I've been playing marble blast for quite some time though, just never was part of the community. To clarify, I don't think I'm skilled per say, but I know the tactics that skilled players use (wall hits, rolling diagonal for speed) and practice them. So for a noob, I might be a very good noob!

I'm glad you like the level. It was more of a test than anything, but I'm glad that I show potential. I want to create innovative levels here like I'm known for in Trackmania over in TM Exchange :P

Hahaha, you're better than you think. The party you played in last night was not a load of noobs. RC was ranked #1 in multiplayer for ages before he stopped playing, and if he started playing again he would wreck us all. I'm tied for 2nd in Multiplayer and Kalle has 25+ world records on official levels. You can absolutely classify yourself as a 'skilled player' :P

Fine. I'm decent

I'm gonna be modeling again when I get home. When I'm not doing homework or playing MP that is. Maybe I'll have a longer, well done level by the end of the week?!

A short, fun level! You have certainly gotten good at constructor much faster than I did (You should have seen my first constructor level, everything was misaligned). Nothing to complain about in terms of the level itself!

One suggestion: After you upload the image to imgur, you can get an image to appear in the forum post by locating the "BBCode" link, clicking on it, and copy/pasting it onto the forums. Here is a handy display showing its location, uploaded by using this exact technique:

System.out.println("Hello");

Thank you very much Technostar, that's extremely helpful. And glad you enjoyed it!

And, new level in the works. Had an idea for a level built in a big grid, like so:

*Crosses fingers that image will work*

Speaking of levels, once I'm done with the course, I'm gonna need to decorate it a bit more.

I don't want to say it's finished just yet, but it is now definitely playable.

I've named it Hop Matrix. What should I add? A little more scenery? Maybe some higher walls to prevent cheating?

You can play the map in the attachments.

I like it the way it is. Don't wanna over-clutter it with scenery. ;) Also, very nice levels! Hop Matrix had a really good flow to it with a very cool look. Are you new to Constructor or QuArK? Because you're already quite the pro at whichever one you use.

I personally don't care much scenery but Buzz would know best on this subject.

No no no, cheating is part of MB :) it makes levels fun to speedrun and find paths on. If you just had to take the full path on every level, they would be kinda lame for speedrunning. (Exception: Ice Cold Pass)

I'm no expert just yet, I just put in a lot of practice in how to model within Constructor. The curved wall took me a while to figure out the right amount of bend to make it meet in the middle.

Regardless, thank you very much! I'm glad the level is cool, I haven't seen something built in the style so I decided to try it and such.

And to Frost, I think the level is hard enough to find cuts on as it is, but you're right! I'm never good at finding cuts so I didn't consider it.

Already wow'd. Great job so far, I think you've demonstrated your creative and innovative ability. I encourage you to construct more levels. :) I'm surprised at how you've found and used textures in a very visually-appealing way. I won't say it's the best, but I'd personally give it significant merit.

Pro Marbler: Thank you very much, it means a lot to me.

Frostfire: Same to you, and that beats my time by about 20 seconds. Is there a way to record runs other than video? Like a ghost of some kind?

There are .rec files that the game makes, but they are sometimes buggy due to how old the game engine is and the way certain physics work. (See the in-game help for more info.) If you record a good run, you can send the .rec to someone else and it may be possible for them to record that run on video.

You're better than me at constructor, and I've used it for 5 years! Lookin' great :)

I'm flattered Hutch <3

I'll be gone this weekend, so nothing to look at around here for a while. Here's a question I have. Do people ever build collaborative levels?

aw, looking forward to more levels in the future :)

17.99 Hop Matrix, can go a bit lower but run was good.

EDIT:

Levels are great, Cassius, but there's an error with the filepaths - you have the interiors going to data/my_interiors/levels/[interior] . Needs to be to data/interiors/[interior] .

you mean like this?

People sometimes build collaborative levels, like "Winding Route" by Nihahhat and Pokko, and there are many community group levels that are made by a bunch of people, sometimes even up to 9 like in "Skyebird's Trail".

The way you built Hop Matrix is neat. I tested it yesterday, and I broke the Replay button!

Just wanted to let the interested people know, I'm back playing marble blast again. Sorry for falling off the map. I completely forgot all of my skills level building wise so it might be a while till I release anything again. But yeah, I'll be semi-active once again :cheer:
