I've seen rather a good amount of people who never back up and lost everything they had. They were pretty devastated, they never knew or never bothered to back up. I'm taking a risk with my speedrun, since I'm going to use 1.5TB HD and no way to back it up (no external HDs etc) so I'm running on luck, but it shouldn't fail since its a new one
