I thought about making a thread where people can post challenges they come up with in MBG/MBP/MBA. Any kind, really. Any difficulty.

I have 3 for you, if you can record yourself beating them, it would be cool.

1- On Arch Acropolis, go on the curvy 4-way fork below the 15 secs TT. There are 4 branches, all at 90 degree angle. Do 3 laps around the pole by holding the jump button at all time.

2- Beat The Tale of the Tall Skyscraper sideways, without using any Super Jump or Super Speed after getting the last gem (you can just pretend you got all 35 gems, don't play through the entire level if you don't want to, or just remove all gems)

3- Beat Recoil Ultra Course upside down (if you don't feel like playing through the whole level, just remove all gems)

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE beat Space Slide (MBG) while touching BOTH planets! (Rings are allowed too, but you must touch both planets!)

I created a copy of Space Slide with 2 gems, 1 on top of each planet, but honestly, just touching the planets are plenty hard, and there'd be no point posting .mis changes.

Put on maximum sensitivity, invert y axis and always freelook. Then beat Tightropes.

use keyboard, done. Although some people can beat tightropes without even moving mouse/keyboard camera so.

I accept Sporlo's challenge. Will post a .rec when I finish it.

EDIT/UPDATE: Wow, this is hard! I've got the first planet down, but I can't even touch the second one! I'll keep trying, later...

That's the only way I can beat Tightropes

Thanks so much, that's amazing! I imagine the .mis I made would be harder, because you have to touch very top both times, but I will accept this anyway!!

I got 9.21 on Sporlo's challenge.

Haven't tried any of Xelna's challenges yet. Will do when I find the time.

Here's a challenge: Beat Mountaintop Retreat w/o jumping.

Realized just before seeing your comment Matan about how easy it actually is. Hmmm, guess Diagonal Training would be the next one to try, just because you need to rotate the camera.

I have tried. Many times.
Not sure if you were being serious, but I had decided that it was impossible long ago. Have you done it, or were you simply being facetious?

Yes, I've done it. My best time for it is 22.40s. It's tough, but it's definitely possible. Good luck.

Okay I am figuring it out. Finally figured out the first gap (tricky tricky), and I can pretty easily get past the second, but those stairs are a bitch. So many edge-hits. Once I get past them I can and have finished without jumping, I had a 2 jumps run a long time ago. Another challenge, finish with the least jumps, and that was as low as I could.

Yeah the hardest part is figuring out a good rhythm for the stairs. I find it best to get some nice height on the first edge hit (at the first gap by the start), bounce and edge hit the lowest stair, like in the WR path.

I remember that challenge, especially because it was my challenge...

Try to beat without jumping ALL the levels which are impossible to finish without jumping.

You forget a thousand things everyday. Make sure Marble Blast isn't one of 'em.

I'll give a hint for the RUC upside down finish. You need a super speed.

Give me a list of all the levels you think are impossible w/out jumping and I will, just to prove you wrong. It happened with MBE

My best is 17.1x although I don't have the .rec for it anymore. It can go quite a bit lower BTW.

How about (hope this isn't too easy) beat Moto Marblecross without touching the dirt texture.

Okay, I must have gotten confused by one of the other posts saying 2 jumps because my 17.1x run was with 1 jump.

A good No Jumping run of that level should get close to that time though.
