Not needed anymore, I just updated the launcher packaging to be a DMG instead, it still needs bypassing gatekeeper though, but shouldn't require the terminal command anymore.

Thank you, that did the trick of bypassing the "damaged" message. I might recommend adding that to the instructions on the download page, as other Mac users may not understand.

Finder > Right click the folder at the bottom bar > Open In terminal

I am on an ARM (M3) Mac computer at the moment.

What exactly do you mean by "open a Terminal window in the same folder?" The terminal app is a standalone program, generally speaking.

Please let us know whether your Mac is an Intel mac or an ARM (M1) Mac.

Also, you can open up a terminal window in the same folder as the launcher and run the following command:
xattr -d com.apple.quarantine PQLauncher.app
This should mark it as non damaged

So after several years I wanted to come back to this game because I noticed there was a new launcher compatible with modern Mac computers.

However after I open the new launcher I get a prompt saying that the application is "damaged" and that I should move it to the trash. Now I should clarify that it does NOT say it couldn't be open, it straight up says that the launcher is DAMAGED. In other words the gatekeeper workaround in the notes on the download page will NOT work here.

If anyone can help with this (or even push an update to get the launcher fixed), I would greatly appreciate it.

I am currently on MacOS 15.4 Sequoia, and according to the download page the launcher should work on MacOS 11 and above.
