Hello, thought I'd throw this out there while revising for my finals. This issue has been bothering me for a while now.

I downloaded a bunch of Marble Blast mods with the purpose of recording footage. Ever since I moved into a new laptop, I've been having crashing issues with the game.

By default, the game is set under Direct3D. I can play a level or two before the game crashes out of nowhere. Any progress I made prior to the crash is gone.
The solution is easy, just switch to OpenGL, right? But in some cases (primarily with Powered Up), that leads to graphical issues. This also fucks with my OBS for some reasons, I pick up thousands of dropped frames the second I enter a level in OpenGL.

Here's my specs and console.log:
Warning: Spoiler!

Hello,
You are experiences the consequences of the ever deprecating support of the fixed function graphics rendering by the graphics vendors. In other words, the method of rendering used by the game has been losing proper support by the Big Graphics Industries™ over the past few years and as a result, there's an increase in such bugs.

The solution really is to replace the executable with that of OpenMBG - Modern Edition and see if it works. (Although even that hasn't been updated for a while with a ton of bugfixes so you'll have to wait until I do)

I reduced the OpenMBG file, save for the essentials, and reinstalled it onto a mod. Seems to work, though some mod features, such as the marble selector and for some reasons custom skies, doesn't seem to carry over. But like you said, OpenMBG still has a few bug fixes to sort out.

Either way, at least the game's working, which is all that matters honestly.

If you can read this, fuck you!
