I have recently discovered that MBP RC1 will not run on OS X 10.6, so I downloaded it for my Windows machine earlier today. Upon starting it, I get this error:

I am using a Windows 7 Home Premium HP laptop.

Any help would be appreciated.

I'm not entirely sure what would cause this, but one thing you could try is to make sure you have the latest version of Java installed . I'd also recommend re-downloading the launcher to make sure it's not corrupted.

Typically if the main class could not be located, either the package that contains the source files for the launcher was compiled improperly or something is restricting access within the executable itself. You could try running the program with administrative privileges, though Jeff has informed me it should work without that step in the next build.

I know you downloaded the launcher yesterday morning, but have you tried re-downloading the launcher as amd42 has suggested to see if that resolves the issue? It may be an error in our most recent build, in which case we'll need to pester Jeff to [strike]recompile[/strike] push the latest build package.

The current build requires you to run as administrator. I had the new build ready since Saturday, but HiGuy has never pushed it yet....(I don't have access to do that). Either run as administrator or scream at higuy for RC2.

I am a programmer. Most here know me for being one of the major contributors to Marble Blast Platinum and PlatinumQuest.

Alright, I figured it out. There was still an old version of Java that the computer had failed to uninstall last night. Everything is working fine now, the topic can be closed.
