Hi CheepFishMBP,

Have you tried making adjustments to your graphics settings in-game? I would suggest lowering these as much as possible to verify the framerate drops are unrelated to the graphics settings.

Would you also be able to indicate what your current graphics card is?

Thanks,
~Aayrl

I tried lowering settings, still doesn't work. My graphics card is Intel(R) HD Graphics.

I'm having a similar issue with my Intel HD Graphics system as well. My framerate in PQ is typically around 20-30 fps, which is playable but not smooth and can ruin a run on occasion. It sometimes spikes to the 60 fps I am used to but goes back down to around 20 not that long afterward.

System.out.println("Hello");

What settings are you using for graphics quality in the options? Do you still get these poor framerates on the lowest settings?

This signature is real code
Code:
function clientcmd12dothepq() { commandToClient(LocalClientConnection, '34onthedancefloor'); }

I am using a 1280x720 window, unlimited fps, and all other settings set to minimum.

System.out.println("Hello");

We should have made it clearer that we do not officially support systems with Intel Pentium(R) or Intel Celeron(R) series CPUs. They are slow for actual gaming. Their clock speed is low and cache is small. The Graphics card that comes with the CPUs might not even support a high enough version of OpenGL to run the game at optimal settings.

Remember, we require at a minimum Intel HD 3000. ALL celerons and pentiums do not provide anything higher than 'intel HD graphics' which is a watered down version of their high performance gpus.

I am a programmer. Most here know me for being one of the major contributors to Marble Blast Platinum and PlatinumQuest.

This may be part of the problem on my end, though I know too little about graphics cards to be for sure. I have an Intel i7 4500U @ 1.80 GHz, but when I look up my graphics card, it only displays as "Intel HD Graphics Family" with no actual number. It's never been particularly good for gaming but it ran MBP and MBG at a higher framerate.

System.out.println("Hello");
