Winter Warm-Up 1v1 Hunt Tournament!

Hey forum marblers! I'm hosting a 1v1 tournament in discord on February 22nd at 12pm EST/5pm GMT. To register, join the discord and react to the message in #tourney-announcements. Hope to see you there!

Further information:
The tournament will take place over one day, probably running about 4-5 hours for the entire bracket. The winner of this tournament will receive a $25 steam gift card. The format will depend on the amount of signups, and multiple matches will run concurrently until the semifinals.
8 or fewer players: BO3 single round robin -> 4 player single-elim playoffs
9 or more players: Seeded double-elim bracket

If the new maps are added and deemed in a fair state to play by the tournament date, they will be available. All maps removed from the 2025 summer tournament will be unavailable to play (Gravity Tower, Wonky Waters, Exoplanet, Basic Agility Course).

Maybe it's not my place to say this, since I'm not interested in joining, but it strikes me as odd to post this on the forums but then require people to join the Discord to sign up, which I know some people don't want to do. Wouldn't it be more inclusive to have people either post here or react in the Discord (or both)? Who knows, you might get more participation that way.

I'm mainly sharing this to increase visibility, targeting anyone who may be in discord but more regularly consumes the forums for MB discussion/news. I did consider having signups here, but given it's a one day tournament instead of a season long ordeal, things will be moving very quickly. Scores will be reported in discord, and any adaptations will need to happen immediately to keep things moving and respect everyone's time. A potential match between two people not in the discord could easily lead to delays and confusion. Hope this explains a bit behind my decision.
