The two advanced marblers started out hot with the score tied after one minute. In the second minute, though Kalle was working hard and playing well, Frostfire overtook him and increased his lead by around 10 points every minute until the game's end.
Map: Maximo Center
In some ways, this match was the opposite of the last match. Frosty started ahead immediately and kept a 10-20 point lead until near the end of the match, when Kalle came back with vigor. The final moments were intense, until Kalle made some slick moves and cinched the victory. Also, a good 30 seconds of the map was spent camping.
A strange and competitive match. Frostfire stole the first blue and Kalle retaliated by mega marbling him twice. There was another long standoff. Frostfire got a bunch of blues and Kalle effectively surrendered before the match was over.
A very solid match, close in scores for a lot of it. Frostfire slowly accumulated a lead using many spawn abuse tricks. In the last minute, a crucial platinum gem appeared that could have quickly changed the course of the game, but Frostfire got the gem and the win.
112-104 on Horizon (0-1 Eguy)
161-78 on Lupus (1-1 Rosie)
113-111 on Sacred (2-1 Rosie)
145-143 on Sprawl (3-1 Rosie) - I was showboating and gave Eguy 30 seconds to catch up from 30 points behind. Almost backfired on me. Lesson (not) learned.
Hperks took an early lead, then Frostfire closed the gap. In the last couple minutes, hperks got into the zone and finished 40 points ahead with what he considers perhaps his best match on this map. Interestingly, no blues spawned in the match.
