PQ Feature Spotlight #5: Move on, people was created by IsraeliRD
Hey there,

The last feature we are going to present came around the same time as the PhysMod. You will not believe just how hard it was to keep it a secret for over two and a half years.

This feature is self-explanatory and one of the biggest features in PlatinumQuest, so we’ll let you enjoy.

var pb_ad_url = ads.proboards.com/ad.pl?as=300x250&ap=BT...15&cb=+Math.random() ; document.write('');
Showcased: Locomotion, by Andrew Sears

This concludes our PlatinumQuest Feature Spotlights. Coming up in a few months will be our second trailer.

Moving on,
The Platinum Team

And for those that wonder, we've actually shown this in Trailer #1 (the moving arrows in the gravity level), so if you didn't believe our lie and knew this wasn't a moving platform, well done! We also displayed this again in the previous spotlight with the help messages. We're sneaky like that. FYI trailer #1 actually had 2 levels with this. Have fun finding the second one.

I seemed to have lost my jaw, I am sure I had it before I saw the expanding and shrinking platforms. How in the world did you code that? Was that even possible? Was it a seizure?

Great job! Would asking for it now push the release date? I need a cookie.

Oh, and what shocked me the most was that Matan didn't even get the platinum time.

The name of this spotlight corresponds what the video has shown: Move on, people! Or you can't finish this level.

Awesome as expected, looks awesome. Believe it or not folks, about a year ago I was about ready to code this into project revolution..but decided not too lololol. Great minds think alike I guess?

I am a programmer. Most here know me for being one of the major contributors to Marble Blast Platinum and PlatinumQuest.

Just amazing! Yet another feature that opens up doors for custom levels.

I'm much anticipated to see that second trailer of yours.

I love you, but your attitude is like that of a shrew. Your options? Take a pill or be my kill. Might I suggest that you wear a vest. Perish in class or be banished to the land of bluegrass, where dreams don't exist as you'll be eternally pissed.

I guess it wasn't easy to code

But honestly, it looks odd. I like the idea but it's hard to imagine a moving... diamond/super-jump/etc...

My mind... I think it just exploded. Who do I ask to pay for medical services?

[ontopic]

Moving objects... and frikkin' EXPANDING AND SHRINKING PLATFORMS! If scaling interiors is possible, it seems like rotation is just a hop, skip, and jump away!

QuArK is still a good map editor

You know what's boring? Opaque marble skins. You know what's not? Glass Marbles!

I'd say it's within a hip pop step jump of our current position!

I watced that video the beginning of few seconds.
I'm really confused how do you did like that... End Pad goes here and there, I thought only gems can run anywhere. But later, after I watched the whole video, running end pad and scaling a platform are much more crazy than running gems.

Is there triggers and markers for them, or is there a random movement thing also?

Both. Obviously you must put the markers down but then you can specify randomisation.

Moving Out of bounds trigger? I'd make suggestions in the essay topic, but I'd have no way to know if the features are actually thought up/implemented or not. Did I see something about a trailer #2 sometime in the future?

Nope, I don't see where you got that idea from.
