PRO TIP: When editing, press "INSERT" in the beige Attachments box to embed your attachment. :)

Also make sure the URL is a pathname to a file ending in an image format, like .jpg or .png (e.g. foo.bar/imgs/uploaded/nice_image.png) If not, you can download + attach it, or use an image hosting/mirroring site like imgur which allows you to host by a URL which you then can embed.
