This is one of the few mods where I'm actually excited for a demo to come out.

Maybe it would be possible to just add all the files to a zip archive?

We just need to confirm that it works, then it will be released. I'd say it will be out in at least 1 week, hopefully less.

Quite a bit of assumption. I don't think you can compare MBF to PQ.

I'm sure MBF will be great. However, I think that they have a ways to go.

Ok, as it seems Beack isn't going to get around to this, I might as well. There isn't an installer, but it still works manually. So here it is; the MBF Demo: [link removed]

Slight mess up, you left in the GUIs. The after installation instructions you completely misspelled 'demo' TWICE (the files!) so this can screw people who'd be like 'what?'.

So I played it. It's weird. Some levels were good, but quite a few were bad and I wasn't much impressed. There are probably 3 levels which I found really good and then there were those I just didn't really want to play them again.

There are numerous problems too: impossible gold times, sometimes these are non-existant, in one level there was no IBT at all... it seems it was all thrown together and not properly playtested. Additionally, there are many mistakes in level building, some weird bugs that shouldn't be there and quite a few mistakes that should have been fixed (and can be very easily).

All in all, the demo is alright, probably 5/10 as I really loved the textures, the sounds and the music, which were probably the best part of the mod. Skyboxes were good but didn't fit the levels. The water base was present in some levels only (and in one particular level the scenery was low enough to give a deep feeling) BUT if you fell inside, it was suddenly a dark and ugly base.

I'm hoping you can fix many of these mistakes (which are all possible...) before you even continue the mod, because otherwise if you forget about them, the full version could be less shiny and not really attractive

I also want to mention the challenges. Some intermediate levels felt they should have been in Advanced and vice versa. Some levels were easy and nice and suddenly you get this thrown out challenge that is out of nowhere and much more difficult, this really throws off the balance especially when the remainder of the level is back to be pretty easy.

There are many areas you need to improve on, and the mod definitely has potential but otherwise... I think I'm rather disappointed, I guess since we were all hyped for awesome mods with the Big 5 (PQ, Opal, Emerald, Future and Fubar) I expected a lot more of awesome and it just didn't deliver. Disappointed, but all in all, a quick demo to pass the time. I played for 2 hours or so, which imo is enough without going into top times of each level.
If I was to lower my expectations to the full version (seeing how the demo is) and keep it there, I should not be disappointed; a cool little mod, probably average, and good to pass the time with.

And because this seriously needs a mention: the music. is. EPIC. Love it.

There are some bugs, and I'm sorry for including HiGuys file(I didn't know it was in there, or what the file was), and I'm really annoyed at myself for forgetting to add in the correct grammar and gold times. I was a bit pressed for time when I uploaded it, and I probably should have waited until tomorrow to release it, but I really want the demo to be out that day. Believe me, the full version will be better than the demo.

Ok; here's my review. Long review made short.

I hate .rar files. Most people do too. When I was playing it, I decided to put in the marble selector. Guess what? It made my MB read-only. Now for the levels. In the Friction/Traction level, the gold time is practically impossible. You couldn't get an 8 second gold time! It's too long and too many slopes.

Overall I give it a 7/10. I was expecting alot more. I was excited whilst I installed it, but not when I started the levels. Oh, how I wish my minimac was working again... MBFuture wouldn't have given my computer a memory error if my minimac was working/.
