For some reason Matan gets mad when I paste that noob mod-destroying post, so I'll refrain.

Matan doesn't get angry at me when I post this link, however:
www.marbleblast.com/index.cgi?boa....ay&thread=11053
READ IT!!!

The levels actually look somewhat good.

I always offer this advice to new mods; try to release it before you run out of interest. Many people simply get bored of their mod halfway through the beginner levels. So, even if you have less than 5 levels, it is better than nothing.

@Kurt: Yeah you can be a level maker or tester, but it's better have more levels biulders, 'cos only have 2.

@Ari: We need some particles emiters (new), 'cos the emiters video have a modifications on the particles images only, not much, if you want do levels you are free to join

@Kostas: The edge white?, no 'cos I don't like the edge of MBG/MBP or mods and I get mad texturing the edges on the curves...example => see jump ascent curves

@Zack (123zc1): We have the novice part ready and half part of medium I will start with pro levels and end with Master levels (like expert of MBP) and the mod is going fast with the recent work, anyways thanks for the tip

If someone knows how to do graphics user interface (GUI) can continue with the GUI (options and Help), later I will show the Main GUI work (Home and Level select).

Hmm... Levels? No. I'm bored to do levels and i don't used constructor months ago...

GUIs? Who did the PlayGUI? Because if you did it, you'd better to do all the rest... Because i'm not able to re-do the exactly same style than you... Except if you do the GUIs graphics, and i edit it by myself...

Graphics? What are you talking about? If - textures you're much better than me.

But anyways, i'll try to find time for some musics.

Awesome mod's name, RM38!

EDIT: Also i'm skilled. I can test levels too.

Looks nice, but I'll say it again.

Do you REALLY need a Learn to Roll level?

Think when you use a PowerUp, or hit the ground, or finish a level.

I've had some experience with my now dead mod... so here are some tips.

1. The levels in the pictures don't look very original, I hope they aren't in the final release(if you would ever finish this). Try to focus on levels, they are in fact are great chunk of your mod. Hire GOOD level builders, not just people who beg to be in a mod. And no, I can't help because Torque Constructor doesn't work for me anymore, and I honestly don't wish to get in this situation once more.

2. Yet again on originality, you don't really need beginner levels such as Learning to Roll, the only levels I would actually be interested in playing are good, original levels, and tutorials are great if you're introducing a new feature or power-up. Keep in mind that the people downloading your mod are people who have most likely already played Marble Blast. You can still do them, but just add your own touch if you choose to.

3. You may have no idea, but this looks A LOT like a clone of every other mod that has failed so far. I still remember designing a few nice levels for MB+, a failed attempt at a mod which went nowhere due to lack of good level design(I made a few levels for MB+, you can find them somewhere on YouTube by searching MB+), and overall loss of interest.

4. Textures are big things, bigger than you may think. I know I wouldn't want to play a mod with unappealing textures that probably took 20 minutes in PhotoShop. Take serious thought into the game, don't rush it and keep developing. Some of the mods I've played have textures that are seriously terrible, I might as well play the game in wireframe mode.

5. Overall, I'm seeing the same things in these levels. A lot of them don't really look like they took a while to make and weren't very decent creations. Time Race right now looks like a mess of platforms, and the tuts looked slightly rushed and lacking of originality.

6. Final tip: Take your time. I hate testing out rushed mods, they're never that good and the levels bore me. Make your mod worth someone's time.

Making mods are tough things. Take a look at the only completed mod so far, Marble Blast Platinum(Don't know about Marble Blast Platinum Quest, and I honestly feel I shouldn't check).
No, I'm not criticizing your mod. I'm not hating on you. I'm giving you tips, and at most a little constructive criticism. Maybe I'll join in the tunes: Great looking mod, can I help?!!
For now, I'll wait and see.

FruBlox here, keep in mind I still check back here from time to time.

Yeah, every mod (except MBA) begins with easy levels, it's like a standard structure.

@FruBlox: I found this site in 2009 and I don't know about the old dead mods...I agree in the originality, I know it's don't have much maybe nothing, but I dno't want burns my mind searching new styles, someday I will see something freacky for the style, like a sudden vision for it (sudden vision, what a strnge form to find things )

the only mods I know are:
Marble Blast Platinum (Platinum Quest)
Marble Blast Emerald
Marble Blast Fubar

MB+...no I only knows the name and some post of smooth curves in constructor

Aayrl so with MBF your copying about 454365 other games with particle effects seriously? And if you haven't noticed MBG has them to.

What?

MBG uses a totally different emitter for the bounce particle, I believe it was an inverse star pattern?

And where did I compare MBF to the particle effects of every video game developed since the Atari? I was jesting at the fact that a marble mod already has suggested content to be developed for this mod, in an attempt to steer that particular subject matter into a more original design.
