Marble Blast GLC: Main Levels Compilation - Normal

I apologize for the quality, due to low free space on my computer, I can't record this with fraps.

Anyways, here are all 10 main levels of marble blast glc in normal. I'm really happy that finally this mod is released and you can play my first mod ever. Those times still can be beatable, but well, you should do that if it is possible :)

And also, you can call this mod Marble Blast Touhou too :)

Music:
Flower Flag - FELT (Album: Flower Flag; Artist/Lyrics: NAGI☆; Vocals: 舞花)
Prayer Blue - FELT (Album: Blue Drop; Arranger: NAGI☆; Vocals: Maika)
礫塵の追憶 ~Vanishing memories - Misora (Touhou: White Names Spoiled Past)

And i'm releasing the mod in 49 minutes :)

Finally it is released :)

www.mediafire.com/?8e9rwnwr7qfbc3b
(newest version, added freelook options on options gui)

The download includes:
- 52 Levels (10 Main Levels x4, 7 Extra and 5 Naturous)
- New Layout for everything
- 9 Original Musics (2 of them are remixed)
- Music Room
- Checkpoints, Teleporter, Mega Marble
- Statistics and Achievements
- A surprise
- Level Stats and Comments

Known bugs that won't be fixed:
- Grammatical Mistakes
- Errors on console.log like set visible something
- Levels which are too hard
- Pages arrangement messed up with keyboard (like if you are in no 1 if you press right it will be 3)
- Shadow reflections which may be messed up

Known bugs that will be fixed:
Freelook fix : www.mediafire.com/download/ehd6841l469bo...GLC_Freelook_fix.zip
(download this only if you don't have the freelook options on the options gui)
- i.imgur.com/9wfa6N2.png (this has been fixed, but this one is just really funny :p)

And also there are few things that I need to tell you, for your enjoyment of playing:
- Do not share the location of hidden trigger (please, don't share this), or accessing LE to find it (unless you have given up) to make it fun and surprise.
- Do not consider extra and naturous as DC levels, they are part of the game and not rejected levels.
- Please explore anything on the mod, example like music room, level stats, etc.
- The surprise will be shown after completing the mod by 100% (all levels completed with 500 times oob).

Thanks for downloading and Enjoy the game :)

* Changed topic to say it is released
* Bumped version to 1.0.1 for gerson as he fixed freelook (so people know to re-download)

A really nice and beautiful "mod".

The levels are nicely made, I can tell if a level is going to be dark or if it will be upbeat!
The textures, even thought they are just recolored MBG textures, look very nice indeed.

Having alot of fun time playing this mod. :)

Yeah please don't tell anyone. Btw, how are the musics in this mod in your opinion? I need more comments about my musics because this is my first time ever making music for a game.

The songs were great! They had a great variety.

They also really fit in the levels, and really show emotion and give me a feel. I knew Seperation Goodbye would be a farewell, sad song.

The mod is amazing, Gerson. It's tons of fun to play, and challenging to Speedrun. My best time is a 27.48 on the second Naturous level (I unlocked them legit, btw :P). Very much enjoying playing your levels :)

Awesome mod indeed. I really liked the idea of having multiple difficulties for the same level. Simple difficulty is ideal for exploring the level casually and completing it without much frustration, while lunatic is always good for some (but not too much) rage, and of course, always fulfilling to beat it after some hard work. :P The levels are really fun in general, I was tempted to speedrun plenty of those because of this.

The new music is another thing why I enjoyed this mod so much. They really make the gameplay more enjoyable and prelong the replayability. You also did an amazing job incorporating your emotions into these songs, I could really feel them as I play along. ;)

Overall this mod was really well made, been some time since I really enjoyed some fun from a new mod, brings back good memories. Big applause to you, Gerson. B)

Alright, after having camped the Extra levels for a while I came up with this set of times:

Slopey Helix: 21.51
Helpful Edges: 13.18
Topside Downside: 32.60
Detergent: 25.95
Anglist Helix: 24.39
Obsidian Tower: 26.32

I haven't speedrun'd Bounceless Path yet.

For Slopey Helix I found a tweak which saves ~1s from basic path.
Helpful Edges, pathway is obvious.
Topside Downside - I'm pretty happy with my path. It's creative and as far as I can see, the best possible (though could be optimized)
Detergent - Used basic path, although skipped first fan w/ the second SJ.
Anglist Helix - Major tweak saves 10+ seconds, and also messed around with the ending to save a bit of time.
Obsidian Tower - for the most part used basic route. A couple of tweaks.

Overall, this mod is very fun! The idea of having different variations of each level is cool and original! There should be page on the Marble Blast Wiki about this!

So far, I've beaten all the easy and normal levels. I also beat 9/10 hard levels and 6/7 extra levels.

Thanks anyone for your comments, though if this does give memories to you but still, you beat my levels easily :(

and yay because there is an article of this mod on marble blast wiki, thank you very much masterofthebattlecube

Anyways, I wanted to ask something to you who have played this mod. Which music you like the most out of 9 musics from the game? I'm just wondering about it. Thanks :)

Woo! Wiki page!

Also... Not all your levels were beaten 'easily' :P I had loads of trouble with some of the hards and lunatics (as well as Treetrunk Clamber... RAAAAGE)

And almost all the music is amazing. It's one of the best parts of the mod :D

Future update for GLC:

The next version (1.05) will include:
- A remake of Beneath the Waterfall (since the old version is really bad)
- Fixing some stuff if I found any bug
- Hopefully, a jukebox as a reward of finding the trigger, instead of typing to the console.

This version will be uploaded maybe in next week
And for the next month, I will make an ultra setting, which is the reward after seeing the surprise. Ultra setting makes everything in the game harder (see the reference from ultra patch in touhou).

Just copy and paste the "Contents" folder into to base of the MB GLC directory. Also copy and paste the ignition/ignitionStatus GUI files as well to "./Marble Blast GLC/marble/client/ui/", as the instructions specify. Those instructions are for Windows. ;)

I think I wrote a simple bash script to do this because I'm sometimes really lazy.

Oh, and rename the entire thing to end in ".app"

Future update #2 for GLC:

So I have three days off from school and I decided to revise some aspects from GLC.
What I intend to do for next GLC patch (1.0.8.) :
  • PlayGUI picture change and arrangement
  • Marble Skin Selector
  • Player data, a detailed statistics of the completion similar like in Touhou games
  • Most of the game musics recreated with MuseScore 2
Lastly, I'm going to change the way you unlocked the surprise, so now they are two variations of endings. (one for completing beneath the waterfall, the other for 100% completion)
And finally, you can post single segment times of each completion (to get either endings).

This mod's main color now is tosca :)
