Hello!
So I'm creating a mini mod. I took inspiration from Matan and J@ckrb's videos on G3orge's mini mod, and I wanted to give it a shot of my own.

EDIT: i finished it lol check it out

From my experience and what I've heard, working on more than one mod at a time is never a good idea, even if its a Mini Mod. It'll still subtract the time you put into Super just like a full mod would, especially if you're including new features. Nevertheless I wish you good luck. :)

Bump!!

Huge change of plans, I decided to do something different. I'm thinking more like GMBGMM instead of something like Gerson's Level Compilation, so every level will be brand new and will not feature any of my levels posted on my level topic.
A couple things I might keep, but otherwise, everything's gonna be completely fresh.
Stay tuned!

Also, I don't mean to steal or unrightfully (?) copy GMBGMM. I just really liked the idea and I wanted to see how things would turn out.

EDIT: The first post has been edited to be more like what will be coming in the future instead of what I had planned. Original first post is down here in this spoiler.
Warning: Spoiler!

I think it should say "mega" instead of omega, unless you were using the word in context of database theory to represent Null, and in which case you should be more confident about your work. ;)

Also, the only way you could copy GMBGMM (which, for all intents and purposes, is a level pack with custom music that isn't really custom) is if you did Ctrl+C and then Ctrl+V on any/all contents. If you do this, then you probably would mean to steal or unrightfully copy, since that's exactly what you'd be doing.

Hmm, no one says anything about Super probably because it is ω atm.

Oh, also great plan! :)

I love you, but your attitude is like that of a shrew. Your options? Take a pill or be my kill. Might I suggest that you wear a vest. Perish in class or be banished to the land of bluegrass, where dreams don't exist as you'll be eternally pissed.

Hey, in some theories, omega means an infinite number. So completely the opposite.

I'll give a coupe screenshots if:
  • I get 1 more request (from a different person) for a screenshot.
  • When I get a coupe more levels finished (8 now, I'll go for 10)

Glad to know you're excited!

I just need to learn how to do curves sometime - too lazy to go on YouTube and find out from Otto or something - someone needs to make an updated video.
Glad you're excited!

NO! Don't use Otto's way, you'll get a "Vislink cannot be coplanar with a node" error, which will make you ragequit the Constructor.

Try Perishingflames' way, it's more simple.

Those levels looks nice!
The first one seems original and funny to play, i'm looking forward to test it.
For the second level, I personally think the left stairs are useless, as there's no gem on it!

Anyway, I'd like to see more screenshots in the future :)

I never said I was going to use Otto's way. Who would want to, anyway? :^)

You're right! There isn't! Except the right staircase doesn't have a gem on it either. They both connect to a bridge, which does have a gem!

Making curves requires the pie slices plugin for constructor. Using something else usually breaks your map.

I probably should've mentioned this earlier.
I have some people helping out here and there. Ralph's doing a couple textures, and Lee Zi Xian is doing a couple levels. Thank you guys!
Probably not recruiting anyone else unless I can find any exceptions. :)

Just a quick update about what I'm thinking of having for the complete mod.
First, I'll talk about that levels.

I'm estimating around 50 levels. More than you'd expect, but I'll just take my time and go for quality rather than speed. I'm looking for 20 beginner levels, which will include the tutorial levels, and a couple extra easy levels if there's spaces left. I'm also going for 15 of intermediate and advanced levels each. I may have a couple extras here and there, but I'd like to stay on a total level count of a multiple of 10 (40, 50, 60, etc).

About the marble..
I'm thinking of redesigning the original Gold marble, kind of like the flame marble coming from the old Marble Blast Fubar which was used in my recent CLA movie on my channel. I'm thinking of justing a mix of Light red, light green, yellow, and light blue, or just seeing what bright colors may look good with the mod.

Aside from that, thank you to Lee who has helped out with a couple levels here and there. And thank you for all the support. Greatly appreciated!

I don't know what you already have done, but may I just chime in a stimulating stretch of concepts to consider that you are already well aware of, possibly sacrificing valued minutes in my eventful life that I will never get back.

Take your time! You've already explicitly mentioned your intent for quality over quantity, but there is nothing better than to have it reiterated so that you can feel rest assured that it's the best thing to do. :) You may have many level ideas, but rushing in an attempt to vivaciously compile them could easily destroy any potential that those levels may warrant. They say "the more the merrier", but that really only applies if said additional content is any good. (They won't tell you that at the bar, but that's not important).

While I've never tried any of your levels (well, I suppose I haven't played custom levels from anyone), I'm thrilled at your approach. Mini-mods, in my humble and overtly biased opinion, are cycles better than the mods that try to do everything, because they focus primarily on what's important: the levels. This alone leads me to reiterate: Take as long as your mind and body need to determine the worth of your irrevocable result. I took note of your initial statement that you had released your 25th level to the forums - this was in July. Your level topic was introduced in January, but I will assume you had created some of the levels in prior month(s). So, that's six months for 25 levels, plus a possible seventh or more. To create 50 levels of high quality, based on this information, we're looking at a release sometime next year. But like I said, I don't know what you already have done. But I've wasted all that time speaking of such to say the following:

Don't set limits. Having an initial goal of 50 levels is a good idea, but don't stress to hit that number if you're having trouble getting there. Sometimes you may have writer's block, but at some point you may also get worn out from the work. That's OKAY. Point is, as long as you provide a result, no matter the quantity, then whatever work you put into it will have been worth it. :) Also, just to note, my words here are 100% filled with the intent of encouragement. While I probably won't download your levels individually, I will more than likely give this pack a go whenever you release it.

Obviously I'm a terrible example of a person who practices what they preach, but don't focus too much on my hypocrisy.

I love you, but your attitude is like that of a shrew. Your options? Take a pill or be my kill. Might I suggest that you wear a vest. Perish in class or be banished to the land of bluegrass, where dreams don't exist as you'll be eternally pissed.

Also, a note... people for the last few years have had enough of tutorial levels (learning to roll, jump, gems, hazards, etc etc etc). Fubar still gets away with it because 2008, though.

"matan, now i get what you meant a few years back when you said that "the level in mbg is beyond me" after the last rampage i noticed things were insane, and now i truly feel that too" - Dushine, 2015.

Agreed. Beginner levels should be simple levels, but they should not be tutorial levels unless you add a new feature to your mini-mod. Also, I love how the new levels look, so your mod should look amazing when it's done!
