Hi there, I'm not really sure how to do these sorta things, but I'll do my best, aha.

Although my username is Graviga91, you can just call me Grav for short. I got into Marble Blast as a kid when Gold came pre-installed on my 2004 iMac G5, and I instantly fell in love with the game. Skip to a couple decades later and I'm currently working as a graphic designer while indulging in digital art as a hobby, but I never forgot about that childhood experience.

I figure I would introduce myself since I just recently tried out PlatinumQuest and wanted to share my experience (though I don't know which category on the forum that would best fall under).

I hope you all have a good rest of the day.

Hey, this is a perfect category on the forum. Welcome (back) to our little corner, great to hear that people are still finding their way to Marble Blast decades later. =)

Thank you for having me!

And are you saying this intro subforum is appropriate to share my experience for PQ? Because I do have extended thoughts to share and I would hate to clog up my thread with a lengthy post if it goes against any rules.

Ah, I understand now. Sure, this works great; you could also make a new thread under the General category - the forums are about as relaxed as they get regarding rules, especially since most of the interaction is on the Discord server (link can be found when you log in online), so no worries about misstepping. Looking forward to hearing your story!

Hey, welcome! I got into this game in exactly the same way as you—I too used an iMac G5 from 2004 as a kid, and it had Marble Blast Gold and I was instantly hooked. I also still use macOS to this day, just like you.

Since you work as a graphic designer, have you ever made application icons? It would be cool to see new MBG icons in the style of OS X Yosemite and new MBG and PQ icons in the style of macOS Big Sur. Just figured I'd throw it out there.

And Nockess is right—your thoughts on PQ (which I'm very curious to read) may be best suited to a new topic in the General Marble Blast Discussion category, but we're not very strict here, and anyway a moderator can always move your topic around if it fits better somewhere else.

Thank you, I will be sure to share my thoughts over in general later today.

I have messed around with icons in the past, funny you say that, yes! Honestly I think the PQ icon itself looks wonderful as is, but might be fun to try and make a more uniform icon for modern Mac, haha.

I see there is a graphics subforum for this sort of thing so if I ever feel like messing around in Affinity Photo I will be sure to share what I've made.
