Still really hard to imagine it takes 123424938 processes and 29283839201 hours just to turn cyclohexanol into chlorocyclohexane. 95% yield though, and relatively pure. Got an A, but dear God was it dreadful haha.

idk about the yield but afaik, SOCl2 can do it in one step with no racemization; ofc easier said than done lol
