Still really hard to imagine it takes 123424938 processes and 29283839201 hours just to turn cyclohexanol into chlorocyclohexane. 95% yield though, and relatively pure. Got an A, but dear God was it dreadful haha.

idk about the yield but afaik, SOCl₂ can do it in one step with no racemization; ofc easier said than done lol
