Hey amgine here i'm sure this has been suggested before but ill suggest it again :)

Currently the only standard multiplayer game mode is gem hunt where you must collect the most gems but im here to suggest some other new game modes!


1. Capture the Gem : Basically capture the flag you must capture the enemies gem and return it to your base making them dropping the gem is either done by blasting them knocking them off or maybe touching them ?

2. Steal the Gem : the objective of this game mode is that there is 1 special Gem in the map and you must grab the gem and must keep holding it as long as possible avoiding everyone as best as you can to continue to score points after a score cap is reached or the time ends the game is over.

3. Gem Control. : The objective of this game mode is to take the special gems and put them into the respective zones to score a point ( if they get removed the point is lost) if all gems are put in the finish zones a " touchdown" is scored and the gems get returned to their starting spots and the points are permanently on that teams scores. when the score cap is reached or time runs out the game ends.

4 Hold The Gem. : The objective to of this game mode is to take the special Gems and put them into your teams special zones while they are in the zones you continue to score points more gems in more zones results in more points you gain. after a time or score game is reached the game ends.

5.Deathmatch : the objective of this game mode is to knock the other marbles out of the map to score points after a time limit or score cap is reached the game ends. (Can have teams)

6:Elimination : The objective of this mode is to knock the other marbles out or the level mast marble standing wins! ( Can have teams.)

7. Time Attack : The objective of this gamemode is to collect timers to stay alive taking damage reduces your timer if you run out of time your dead the last one standing wins!

8. Poison Gem. : The objective of this game mode is to avoid the Gem everyone starts at the spawn and the poison gem gravitates near the closest person when someone is forced to grab the gem they start losing points to get rid of the gem they must touch someone else (you cannot touch the person who gave you the gem for 5 seconds.) whoever has the lowest score at the end of the round wins.

9. Marble Paint : The objective of this game mode is to roll around and cover the ground with as much of your marbles color as you can killing a enemy lets you steal some of their painted area whoever has the most covered area after the time cap is over wins! (Can have Teams.)

10. Soccer : The objective of this game mode is to push a large marble into the enemy's Goal to score 1 point then the marble respawns after a score cap is reached or the timer runs out the game ends.

11. Poison Marble. : The objective of this mode is 1 person is randomly chosen as it if they touch another marble that marble is Eliminated from play if the chosen marble can eliminate all the other players he wins!

12. Obstacle race. : the objective of this mode is to roll as far as you can throughout the obstacle course when the timer runs out whoever got the farthest wins.

13. Rocket Race : the objective of this challenge is to climb the level and get as high as you can whoever is the highest when the time runs out or reaches the top wins!


A. Bungee setting : This setting makes it so pairs or groups of marbles are stuck together by a rope and must cooperate there movement to succeed in games!

B: Night Setting. This setting makes it so you can only see a limited distance on the map planning well and knowing the map is key here!


Post your suggestions for game modes here as well as your thoughts would you like to see this ?

Other game modes are definitely in the works, and I might even implement some of these if I have the time ... I need to implement a more modular public game mode system...

That's actually a really good idea. When MBO has maybe 3+ gamemodes, there should be a new option on the level select page that lists the gamemodes as a choice, and possibly even a random.

Also, there needs to be a race gamemode. For levels like Monster Speedway (for MBG), you need to go around the track a certain number of times before crossing the starting/finish line (manually placed on track somewhere). Going out of bounds will restart the current lap your on and place you on the starting/finish line.

A lot of these have actually already been investigated and a couple HiGuy has actually had the opportunity to whip up a quick script or two. I don't know if I'm allowed to state which ones he may or may not be working on, but we are definitely looking into adding additional game modes in future updates. We openly invite users to come up with various game modes and we'll certainly try to entertain the more popular ones and see which ones are the most balanced and enjoyable in a multi-player environment.
