file Does an SSD improve Marble Blast?

So, I'm getting a 480GB SSD for my laptop and I wonder if it will improve the game performance (not FPS, that's based on GPU), like level loading times and such.

If it does, does it improve drastically or just a smitch? Thanks.

Um, are you having long loading times or something? Even my old computers without SSD run the game just fine, so I don't see a reason to get an SSD just for marble blast. However getting an SSD to make your computer start up faster is worth it imo.

I was just wondering if it will improve the game's loading speeds. And no, I'm not buying one just for the game, that's just a waste lol. But yeah I think it's worth it (costed me like 500 dollars)

I'm sure there will be improvement, but it won't be noticeable. If there is, I know I've had a huge improvement (1800 levels from 40 secs load time to under 5 secs) but that was on the initial load. Ingame... yeah it's CPU probably.

My rig is 4 years old, and had hard drive originally, loading times where blazing fast. Now have SSD and it's the same thing, (maybe little improvement, hard to tell). For other games it does make huge difference just because there's more things to load but for MB where most of objects weigh next to nothing in terms of size so you should be looking more into cpu speed if you want faster loading times. So to answer your question, it will depending of previous hard drive you had and CPU but don't expect whole lot.

Some guy that does DTS shapes and levels.

AWESOME time HINT : When making PQ level place your custom interiors and textures in platinum/data/interiors_pq/custom
makes life easier for you and everyone else :)

The thing that takes MB the longest to load is DTS files, in my experience. But what's slow isn't the actual process of reading it from the disk. It's all of the processing MB has to do on the files once they're in memory--and sadly, that can't easily be helped.
