My levels. The older ones are first, so they're not as good as the new ones.

Medieval Maze Reinvented - My first level, didn't make the interiors.

Nobody's Playground - First Constructor-made level, it's honestly bad.

Teleporter Course - If you're feeling like getting frustrated/confused...go ahead.

Quick Course - The name sort of describes the level.

Stopping Ultra Course - Course that tests your ability to stop your marble after motion.

Throughput - A variety of interesting challenges. This is my best level so far, in my opinion.

Nobody's Platformer - This is a bunch of annoying little platformer challenges.

Spin Course - It is a course. And it is arranged so your marble will spin.

Trippy Level - Your eyes will hurt from the trippy colors and the misalignments.

Nobody's Troll Level - U Mad? U will be after playing this level more than once.

Paranoia - OOB again? Really?

Gems Everywhere - You missed one.

It is the norm to direct the interiors to interiors/ instead of _mbg/ or _mbp/.

Ok, sorry to say it, but your level exemplifies why I despise the last-resort conversion method. It just encourages bad building practices.

It is your first level, so it's understandable how it can be so repulsive (sorry!) in terms of texturing, but it's necessary you learn from the start how to build on the grid, align items, etc. Well, this has convinced me to make another beginning constructor tutorial. My last one was taken down by vimeo, but one is certainly necessary so new level builders don't start off learning how to build the wrong way.

Oh, and the sloped hallway part is a bit hard... if not almost impossible.

MBP, this is a MBP level. Again, please fill out the rating form.

Hmmm? If you're referring to his interiors comment, then he's still right. The marble/data/interiors is for custom level interiors, and yours certainly is custom. I noticed you did use some MBP interiors, though, so those were fine in the .mis.

I'm very critical in my tastes, so you probably don't want one from me. But I will give you some comments.

Cracks. I saw some, and I know there must have been some questionable shapes in your map. It takes a bit of time to learn what converts in one piece and what doesn't. I personally would have redone those shapes and reconverted, but I can understand wanting to get your level into the public eye ASAP. Nonetheless, I hope for better next time around.

Texturing. Nothing looked fitted to its face. Use these tools; they're your best friends in the texturing business:

I second the comment about the slope.

Presentation. You call the level a playground, and then you say it isn't after all. I don't get that. Interestingly, I've come to understand that a playground-type map is a distinct style, something like Andrew Sears' Treasure Hunters' Realm or Imperial's CGL 6 section (aka lots of different, short, non-linear challenges in a fairly open map).

Next time, take some more time. I love releasing levels, but it takes quite a bit of well-spent time to make something you can be proud of, especially when you're still learning Constructor. If the .dif doesn't look good, go back and do it over, and makes sure it's at least passable. It's a lot of work but it's worth it when you're done.

/quote]

I think it was Marblefire that caught me on my last level for doing exactly this. So, I put them in Platinum not normal interiors and you complain. Hmm....

Plan on me releasing a re-done level of that that is a LOT cleaner sometime in the future.

Could someone give me some pointers about plugins though? Where to get them.

EDIT: It seems like the only thing you are saying is that it is sloppy, which I can attest to in some parts. How is the actual playing otherwise?

12 Hour Bump, sorry, I REALLY need some help.

Ok, first, I can't find the damn texture alignment buttons for the life of me. Second, I've re-done a WHOLE BUNCH of it and added a whole bunch of parts. So it looks a lot better.

I'll be done after a couple quick finishers and then re-doing the textures. But until someone tells me about the textures, I dunno.

IMPORTANT!

Hagaroo in for the kill!

Okay. First, change the selection mode to Faces, like so:

Then you simply select any faces that have the textures you need to fix, and every texture-fixing tool is on the left, as seen here:

If you specifically need any help with those tools; I'll be glad to help you with that.

Also, if your level has anything more complex (such as curves), the textures might get a bit distorted. Those are a bit harder to fix up and can be annoying as well, but I wouldn't worry about that at this point.

You can also select the sides and like strech them out. (just some info. Don't forget to go back to brushes when your done editing the faces.) if u want direct info select a face, go to the texture u want, and click apply.

I sent it yesterday...

If everything converts fine...that would be good. Because the problems weren't in the DIF they were in the LE.

I'll send it to you tonight. It has some serious errors, but Python still doesn't work on my usual comp, so I'll open it on the other comp tonight.

Or you could send it to someone else.

The problem is the big winding curve. You must use Pie Slices to create curves like that, or just make them out of rectangles.

Ok, can you delete the curve and leave the little rug block, and then convert the rest?

AAA!! All the boxes are fucked up1!!

They're transparent inside, and ALL of the interiors are gone inside them! And there's an extra block in the first pathway, but I can work around that.

How to fix.....

Otherwise, it looks great.

MB engine (not even MBU/O) likes having closed boxes. It will make everything inside disappear. This happened with one of Andrew's Doors Series levels and I had to make tiny gaps everywhere to ensure they all show up. This is a known bug and annoying one that doesn't have a fix atm.

That happened when I replicated Pool for MBP. Nothing inside the buildings showed up at first

I used a small marble before and actually got out of Pool before you mentioned this. I thought it was poor level building. Now I know why.

Who should I send it to instead? I read your email. And why do my things have errors? What did I do wrong? And did you remember to delete the curve?

I didn't delete the curve because I can't open the map.

Your things have errors because you try to make ambitious shapes (curves) without the proper safety techniques.

Try sending to Sonic, he's a good guy and should be obliging for a few days.

Ok.

I deleted it. I replaced the curve room (which was a shitty idea anyway) with an all-black catwalk in a black room.

I'll send it in a couple minutes *sonicpleasereadthis*. SENT.

24 Hour Bump.

I really need this interior to progress. If Sonic, you don't want to do it, ok, then who else should I send it to?

I can take a look. But if it won't convert with MB Map2Dif I'm trashing it.

I deleted my last post so I didn't have to be despised as a double poster.

I really need that interior soon. If you don't want to then does anyone else? I sent it to SW1, Pablo (btw it's an old version, sorry.), and Perishingflames.
