i am getting invalid packet errors when I play a custom levels downloaded from the forums. Those levels are from advent calendar of marblemaster.i played level 1 but cannot play level 2+.i even tried loading level in level editor and making a separate interior folder
Invalid packet means you're missing the sky. Check the .mis and find which skybox it requires.
"matan, now i get what you meant a few years back when you said that "the level in mbg is beyond me" after the last rampage i noticed things were insane, and now i truly feel that too" - Dushine, 2015.
In the mis file, if you go to the line where it says "materialList" (you have to scroll to find it) and check what skybox you have in the skies folder (marble/data/skies OR platinum/data/skies if on MBP 1.20+) and see if the skybox dml file matches the mis files materialList line. If not, then change the filename of the corrupted dml file to the one in your skies folder. Like this;
materialList = "~/data/skies/sky_intermediate.dml"; (corrupted)
noRenderBans = "1";
};
to
materialList = "~/data/skies/sky_day.dml";
noRenderBans = "1";
};
I used sky_intermediate as an example for this tutorial, but you should be able to change the filename in the mis file, NOT the skies folder, if you do, you corrupt the game. If this doesn't help, please post again and I'll try to make this clearer.
