This is such a rare occurance, but also reveals a tiny bug(?) in marble blast: The fact that hitting the gold time doesn't count but technically should.

Not a bug. That happens every time you hit the gold time spot on. (I can testify, I played this game a lot).

Also, if you go to Options --> Thousandths: Enabled, you can enable three decimal places and therefore see your times more precisely.

I recall completing NeonTech in MBP in precisely 1 minute (not even a millisecond off)--the par time--and I failed to qualify. So, clearly, you do have to be under the par time/gold time/whatever to beat it. Spot on just doesn't count.

If there's a bug, YO! I'll report it!

That's why it says, "You beat the GOLD TIME!" when you actually beat it and not equal it.

The game code (even in MBG!) actually checks that you get LESS THAN the requested Qualify/Gold time. Likewise in MBP we look at LESS THAN Par/Gold/Platinum/Ultimate in order to qualify for those.

In hunt mode only, the game looks at EQUAL and/or HIGHER THAN the requested Par/Platinum/Ultimate score in order to qualify those those.

Okay... thanks for explaining. I wasn't sure if this was intended or not because it has surprisingly not hapened to me before, or if it has i can't remember.
