When I started MBP for the first time today, I received a message saying a new hotfix for the game is available. However, after trying to download it 3 times (most recently just minutes ago), I still haven't gotten it. I notice that the development server is down, though; could that have anything to do with it?

Did you run the launcher? That's how you update your game.

I did. Multiple times. I'll try again today.

When you use the launcher, look at the "Console" tab. Do any errors / exceptions appear when you try and update?
Can you post a log of the console here?

Thanks.

Unfortunately, I tried again today, and I still haven't gotten the latest hotfix. What's more, the laucher did not reveal any errors. Are you sure you updated the Downloads page?

The launcher under the downloads page hasn't changed for many months now. However, you may be unable to access the files server where we store the game updates. If you open this file in your browser, does anything appear? If not, does this file show anything? If you can see the second one but not the first, your ISP may be doing packet filtering. I know whirligig's college does this, although I haven't heard of this happening to anyone else.

I can see both files just fine. But still, I'm having no luck. I can tell the latest hotfix isn't being applied because the Marble Blast Ultra achievements that should've been fixed aren't unlocking. Also, the launchers changelog still shows the fixes/changes/etc. from the previous hotfix, not the latest one.

If you try to go online to the leaderboards, does it stop you saying "update required" or let you in?

If the leaderboards let you log in, then you should be updated. Was there some other issue that made you think the game was out of date? *gets out bug list*

As I mentioned at the beginning of this, when I started up MBP a few days ago, I was presented with an announcement regarding a new hotfix. I guess it's not live yet...? Or maybe it's because the development server is down...?

I don't know. I can't really screenshot glitch my way through this Pain Pack...

If you no longer get prompted to update then you've got the hotfix. Chances are we just didn't update the news section of the launcher because it wasn't anything newsworthy. The development server has no effect on the public release builds, such as hotfixes or major updates. Sounds like you've updated fine. Marking this as resolved unless you have any other issues.

All right. That's fine. Maybe those pesky MBU achievements will get fixed in a later update. For now though, I'll just focus on my current goal: getting all of the Easter Eggs in MBP. Thanks for the help.

Oh, I see. The game was only supposed to show achievements for MBP, but actually would show them if the game wasn't MBG. That will be fixed in the next update.

Glad we could sort this out without too much trouble. Locking this post.

Also of note those MBU achievements are actually online only. Online mode has way more achievements available than offline (which is just for MBP, and very few of them).
