Nature Hike (8.208)

Recorded exactly two years ago on the day, this run took a few hours to accomplish. Inspired by another run for this level, I obviously saw where it can go faster and went ahead to do so.

There are a few hard bits which the audio commentary goes about, but there were some fun parts, like the trapdoor+wall hit with the second time travel. Space/Bumpers are hard, and the penultimate time travel is easily the hardest in the run due to the jump, instant-stop requirement AND to go up the slope pretty quickly.

Overall this is a really polished run that features some solid marbling skills and a blind skillshot right at the end which saves some time, with only one mistake worth 0.5 seconds at most.

Marble Blast Reloaded - Incomplete World Record Rampage for an Incomplete Mod

Two and a half years ago I started an Incomplete Mods WRR thread for Marble Blast Reloaded and Space. While MBSpace finishes its WRR, this one had set untouched for the most part, with 8/14 levels having a video. The remainder weren't recorded due to either no one doing them or the level was outright impossible to finish (e.g. broken teleporter code). Kalle's recording shows the forced playgui positions in action.

Long story short I randomly found this project sitting on my hard drive so why not upload what does exist?

I used to have a slightly less busted version of MBR but it's been lost for years now unfortunately. IIRC all the levels were at least playable in it, ohh well lol.

1000th Video Special: PlatinumQuest's staff Awesome Time/Score runs (and more!)

WOW! 1000 Videos? I can't believe I actually made it to this achievement. It has been more than 11.5 years since I started uploading videos of Marble Blast and look at all this wasted time.

I'd like to thank all my subscribers and supporters, as well as many staff members, developers and the community for helping me reach this awesome, special number.

So this video is something that has started more than 7 years ago to show off the routes the staff came up with in order to create the Awesome Times/Scores. I'd like to thank Regislian for helping out so much here, as well as hPerks and Kalle for a few videos. Consider this an official guide, in a way. Some of them are imperfect due to lack of time or willingness to improve.

This was quite the journey and hundreds if not thousands of hours were spent into these runs, as well as some unrecorded runs or those accidentally deleted (Level From A Forgiving Mind ... I somehow managed to twice delete its recording, which really sucks). In addition we're showcasing some previously unseen levels, and awesome bloopers. Congratulations on making it to 1,000 videos uploaded on your channel! I didn't see this video coming, and it was an epic way to celebrate this milestone! These stunts really do impress me, and it was cool to see what PQ's gameplay looked like in its developing stage! It was also awesome to see levels that didn't make it to the final build of PQ, and I wish I can play them even if they are rejected! This month is a huge month for epic compilations such as Eguy's Full Speedrun on Rozi's Mini Mod and Battlecube314's Full Rampage on MBP 1.00, and there's nothing that could top of this compilation! And that's enough binge-watching Marble Blast videos for me today!

This has to be the most craziest PQ video I've ever seen, the variety of paths, the litlle tweaks, the funny bloopers and the abandoned levels that really are inspiring for new custom levels, everything was f-ing here! Excellent job, guys!

Stay Frosty (12.XX) - Marble It Up! Preview

Here's a fun speedrun for the tutorial level: Stay Frosty!
My previous best time on this level was 15.56 (using a harder route). Using a recent find in the Marble Blast community where they used some rocks to completely cut through a level, and a better start, I managed to get a much more fun route for this level that looks absolutely impossible. I have a bit better time than shown in the video, don't worry

Thread the Needle (36.90s)

This is the route I came up for Thread the Needle in Marble It Up!. I originally had a solid edge hit from the Super Jump (go down the slope and edge hit) that got me all the way to the top (all three floors skipped) but this route came out faster.

Please note this was done on KB/M (PC Version) and is a development build.

Totally Tubular (14.78s)

I was beaten by Blueteak after posting my 17 seconds run for this level, and came back to this route which I previously thought would be slower. Thanks to some luck with the tube, I managed to snag this run. The moment the devs saw it... "nah can't beat it".

Starting a new series focused on (hopefully) short levels. These are customs I recorded in the last year and I'm hoping to get more going this year. All runs have live audio commentary, and added Closed Captions so you can understand me.

A Course Made of Boredom (11.650s)

This was a super quick level to do. I didn't realise that pressing the editor button outside of the level causes it to remain active, hence no times showing up. I was wildly confused. Also added a small extra for you guys, I think these should be really cool on such short videos.

Anyhow hope you guys like short, because I got more of those (and even shorter than this one haha). All runs have live audio commentary, and added Closed Captions so you can understand me.

These two levels are very short and straight to the point. The first is a simple SKILLSHOTTHEGEM and the second does a couple of ramp matrixing to get a low time.

We'll see more of the two-levels-in-one-video in the future as some of these are extremely short. Consider yourself warned!

n.b. - Apparently I was tasked to disengage a core in the process of meltdown in Area 42 (in under 2 minutes), but I kinda skipped the entire thing anyway. I'm sure the guys will be fine.

Stratosphere [old version] (1:25.28s)

Old version of the level, but the route shows off a loop exit which can be done 2 seconds faster at least (I pulled that on Switch lmao) and a really cool shortcut that saves time even in the current release version.

Compared to the new version, this one has:
- 1 extra gem
- 2 less time travels
- Less super speeds
- Less checkpoints, and in different positions
- Less ice crystals, or in different positions
- Different finish platform
- Other minor differences

Sometimes diagonal is easy, and sometimes getting the right amount of speed and not falling off the level is hard.

I wanted a better time (more diagonal) for Blast but haven't managed during my session. Closing In is harder than it looks because the moving platform trigger is surprisingly small.
