I made this post more official so new players will be oriented easier

George's Marble Blast Gold Mini-Mod

This is a miniature modification to the original Marble Blast Gold game.

It contains 25 new levels, and some new music (just for fun).

You can download the mini-mod from
www.mediafire.com/?697hcq1ansyhan9
and all you have to do is copy paste the folders into your
/marble/ folder.

Hope you enjoy!

for beginner there's 11 because it's just all the basics.

For intermediate some of the first ones will be about like edge-hitting, diagonal movement, perhaps skill shots, and hazards. Some of the last ones will be just fun intermediate levels. Hoping for about 20

Advanced will be much longer levels and more fun definitely because I know that everyone hates long and boring levels. Hopefully about 25!

So total is about 50 (rounded) I hope you guys will enjoy!

EDIT (so no one gets disappointed):

Beginner: 11

Intermediate: 10-15

Advanced: 15-20

Total: 36<x<46 Approx. 41

PROGRESS REPORT:

Almost all of the Intermediate levels are complete.

If you want to make a few levels for advanced in this mini-mod, just send me a PM that you want to and I will write back telling you the details (IT'S VERY SIMPLE). And remember, this is a mini-mod for MBG so only MBG textures (all the ones in the Gold album in Constructor).

You can only use self created interiors. You can send in the .mis the .dif or/and instructions if you want me to add gems and stuff

Hopefully most of your good levels that you send in will be featured as advanced levels in GMBGMM

All the credit will go to you for the levels. Thanks

EDIT: Almost forgot! Testers will be needed as soon as all levels are complete which will be in about two weeks if school doesn't get in the way. Just send me a PM if you want to be one in two weeks.

All you have to do is look through the levels and make sure they work and have no mistakes. Just trying to make this mini mod perfect. Thanks!

As far as I'm concerned, making beginner levels for any level pack, mini-mod, or future mod is a complete waste of time. Everyone here has already mastered the basics.

PROGRESS REPORT:

In version 1 there will only be scenery for the advanced levels. In version two which will follow up shortly, scenery will be added to beginner and intermediate.

There aren't a lot of beginner levels so it's not a waste of time, just a little fun!

Only one version planned so far and if any edit mistakes maybe 1.1 or something.

I know you're not a noob, but it does look like a noob mod. And what's with the MBP textures?

WHAT!?!?! I've been using the textures only from the GOLD album! I'm not sure which ones you're talking about because I was going to only use gold textures. Wtf. I'll talk to Matan. Or just PM me for what to do...

Also, I know this kinda looked noobish due to the fact that it was mostly beginner levels. I was really stumped on beginner levels because the idea of playing beginner levels all over again is ridiculous. So there will only be 11 beginner levels and people won't get pissed off. If you really don't like beginner levels just don't play them. My bad for making them lol.

BUT DON'T WORRY some of the advanced levels are kik-ass because I like levels of medium length that make you think, and have many possibilities to get the best times!

Unlike Pablo's comment,
I think it's pretty nice, just short short fun levels. Will be more appreciated if you could do a video preview of the Advanced levels.

I'm pretty sure that wall texture at 0:37 is mbu_pattern_cool2. Either that or its twin sister.

My level will be just like The Hard-Hat Zone from MBLight (Check it out). I didn't start yet because I just woke up (It's 9am here) and I was still thinking what the level would look like..

Anyways, I hope you'll surely love this level!

But why is it in the GOLD album in constructor? If it's going to be a problem I'll change it (ughh more work) but I'll PM Matan

That's mbu_pattern_cool2. Did you download from PF the textures for Constructor? These probably include both gold and platinum textures, so you might wanna avoid the mbp ones. For gold textures, use all the textures in Marble Blast Gold (as it came installed, not anything modified/added to it).

Edit and no you didn't PM me at all

Yeah I think I accidently put that in there. Just open up the .map file in notepad/textedit and find/replace all mbu_pattern_cool2 for pattern_cool2

Oh wow I was just sending PM when Matan wrote that

That would be a pain to edit all those .maps and then convert them all again and then edit everything again... Anyways waiting for reply from Matan

Why is it a pain? Open in notepad/word and ctrl+h just like PF said. No need to open quark/constructor. Then replace .difs in interiors folder and ta-da you can play again with all the changes and minimal work.

Apparently, I am like 55% done and I decided to check out my level in MBP (because MBG is used for the mod, MBLight) and I think it's good, but the map needs some editing.

NOTE: I'm actually making a MBP version (if that's okay George) so I'm adding the checkpoints, gems, an easter egg, etc. in the level..

yeah dude it's all good.

Also
You don't have to be 100% done. If all you have is your interior, and powerups, I can do all the aligning, bounds, testing, and putting into the game type of stuff. Send when ready

Just a preview of one of the advanced levels for GMBGMM created by RandomMarble38 and edited by G3orge. I made a video for this level because it is very fun and I know how much people don't like waiting =]
var pb_ad_url = ads.proboards.com/ad.pl?as=300x250&ap=BT...15&cb=+Math.random() ; document.write('');

The only unfortunate part was that in the .map for some reason the textures were undefined so I couldn't modify the interior itself. But personally I loved the level and it's really fun!!!

The level was created by RandomMarble38 so all credit goes to him.
