Here is a working weblink of my current game!

Attrition (Alpha Build 0.01)

goo.gl/i7r6zV

I'll release a Standalone application soon. Right now the mac version has a relatively common crash that I need to debug. Windows version works fine, but I want to release them at the same time.

Since the multiplayer will be a bit sparse, I added AI that you can play against. It's definitely on the basic side since I wrote it this afternoon, but she'll still beat you if you're not careful in the beginning.

Controls are WSAD for camera movement, and mouse clicks for everything else.
Escape will cancel a building placement or deselect a building
If you've played any RTS games you should feel at home.

Goal is to get your polygons to the other side's base.

Runs on potatoes quite well considering the massive amount of units that can be in game at once.

Let me know what you think!

But does it run on lemons too?

And what does SPR mean?

It's the super unit, 1800 a pop.

But what does it do? Nothing seemed to happen when I clicked it. I lost my money, but no tower appeared.

Oh, it's not a tower, the main base spawns a single unit, though they shouldn't be difficult to see.

For a feature request, when you delete a tower, can you get some money back?

You might be able to get a small portion of money back (maybe 10-15%) but definitely not all.

The goal is to make the building selection a serious choice in the early game. The end game is not well defined at the moment (and even not fun against the AI). -- The early game however is pretty fun imo.

Getting money back when you are full of buildings (income > 300) is relatively unimportant, since after 5 seconds you will double any money you get from destroying a building, and so returning money will only really affect the early game.

However, implementing it is very easy so I may try it out to see how it feels.

ALSO: If anyone has ideas about improving the late game system (when you are basically full of buildings and either replacing early-tier buildings or creating super units) I'm definitely interested in them. Currently the game lasts way too long in a semi-stalemate against the AI and even against other players at that point in the game.
