I noticed that in MBG level previews, interiors casts shadows. This effect is noticeable in some of the previews, take for example Elevator (MBG Beginner Level 7)— you can see the shadow of the tower being casted onto the floor.

If I recall correctly, there is an option in the Windows version of Marble Blast that allows for enabling/disabling shadows, but that option is not in the Mac version. There is a pref called $pref::useStencilShadows, when set to true... interiors still don't cast any shadows. A quick search on the internet didn't reveal much about MBG shadows.

So, is this a feature that is not in the Mac version, or is it just disabled somewhere?

There has never been any support for shadows in Marble Blast on Macs. There is some garbage in the Mac engine pertaining to shadows like this, but it doesn't seem to have any observable effect. For now, if you want shadows, you need to use the Windows version (either on a Windows computer or via software like WinE).

This signature is real code
Code:
function clientcmd12dothepq() { commandToClient(LocalClientConnection, '34onthedancefloor'); }
