Hey folks,
I just wanted to thank everyone who had the change to participate in the Fun in the Sun event this summer and I hope you all had a great time! While it's time for the beach to head back to its warm environment as we bid farewell to the days of summer, we will not forget the treasured memories it provided for us and we'll certainly bring it back next summer
I tallied all of the scores from each of the games played this summer season and have provided them in a friendly PDF document for your viewing pleasure (all you have to do is click here! Warning: zoom in (a lot)) . Secretly, I was testing a scoring mechanism on all of you while you were enjoying the beach! If you're a fan of numbers and statistics, here's a couple of mildly interesting numbers and facts regarding this year's event:
- We collected 13485 total points over the entire event (That's a lot of gems!)
- We averaged 287 points per game
- 36 unique players participated in the event
- Excluding myself, Regislian played the most games
- RC was the top ranked player (of course)
- J@ckrb shocked the world with a firm ranking of #3
- RC had the highest average score with 82 points per game
- 3 Players joined and played a few rounds but never scored a single point (Sorry guys..)
- kenny was the most consistent player, scoring roughly 25 points every game
- XxM.O.T.B.xX is the only player to score over 100 points without earning the Ultra Score (because of a bug during Games 26 and 27)
- J@ckrb had the highest percentile score, earning the platinum score for all but one of his games.
- BPXRockU had the lowest variance of all the players who played more than 10 games.
- Only 8 players scored more than 100 points in a single game.
- Of those 8 players, only two did it more than once (RC and Myself)
- Statistically, the most skilled players were:
---> 1) AnsonX10
---> 2) J@ckrb
---> 3) Rigel
---> 4) Imperial
---> 5) RC
^ This was based on a formula that takes into account the number of players in a game, the average rating of players in the game, the number of games played, the player's win/loss ratio, the player's average score when in the same group as high-rated players, and many other factors.
