Hey, just want to ask if there is plans to have this as a possible free-to-play on Steam. If there isn't, I say it will be a good idea.

Due to our current distribution methods, (and updates, and online stuff), this isn't feasible or really possible. The closest you can get to having MBP on Steam is to add it as a custom third-party game. Just use the "Add a Non-Steam Game" option in your games library (should be in the "Add a Game" menu at the bottom)
