Guess you didn't take our advice.
Quote:You have completely the wrong philosophy on this mod. You're going to end up making 120 levels at 30 min/level that no one will ever play more than once. The successful mods have had dozens of hours spent on each of their best levels.
Quote:please take your time. MBP took like 13 months to complete and mbopal has so far taken ~5-6 months. How on earth do you create levels so fast. Make sure you are putting quality into them. Also, what about new codes or new features?
Quote:Here's the immediate problems I see with this...:
I would recommend not making beginner levels first, because they usually turn out to be relatively overused concepts of tutorial levels. Make the ones that will actually be original, and then throw in a couple beginner ones.
LE only will turn out very poorly, I'm almost positive. Learn Constructor, or QuArK.
If you don't have a plan for your levels, they'll turn out to be much less original and good than if you have a plan, THEN begin actually creating them. The creation process should feel more tedious and less creative than the planning, and if it's not, you're probably thinking up ideas on the fly.
I'm not trying to insult you, I'm just frustrated that all this work went to waste when instead you could have made a handful of awesome levels that people would have remembered for years.
