I had an idea today that I decided to just go for and see how long I can run with it. I am going to be posting a song or group of songs every week (to the best of my ability) on this thread. As my presence on this forum has been based around sharing and expressing myself, I thought sharing some music I love would be something else I can do! If this seems to just end up being spam, I'll most certainly stop, but let's see how it goes!

I encourage you all to post a song in response to mine each day or tell me what you think about each song - I want to find new artists and songs too!

Title: U.N. Owen Was Her [The Death Waltz]
Artist: Unknown [Published by Team Shanghai Alice]
Notes: From the arcade-style video game, Embodiment of Scarlet Devil

The infamous Death Waltz. Most people don't know the background behind this song, and I have been obsessed with it for years. This song is so impossible to play on Piano that it has been deemed the Death Waltz, even though the song's title is not the Death Waltz. The Death Waltz is actually a joke piece of sheet music that is incredibly humorous:

Sounds like the typical guitar solo from Dragon Force

The weirdest signature that I ever requested

I prefer the original, but that's great as well. There are a few great versions out there.

"matan, now i get what you meant a few years back when you said that "the level in mbg is beyond me" after the last rampage i noticed things were insane, and now i truly feel that too" - Dushine, 2015.

Highlighting some of my favorite parts from Faerie's Aire and Death Waltz:
Based on a Cro-magnon skinning chant
    Rigatoni
    Cool timpani with small fan
    Light explosives... now and.... now
    cresc or not
    slap thigh
If there is a 3rd Clarinet some Violins may go
    788 BPM
    untie slipknot
Like a New Orleans concertina choir
    remove cattle from stage
    release the penguins
balance your chair on two legs
    continue swimming motion
begin turning flame slightly higher and higher
All harpists stand up and wait

But I find something new every time!

Week 2

Title: Overture from Candide
Artist: Leonard Bernstein
Notes: The overture to the musical, Candide.

Some orchestral music, but my favorite classical sounding song. It's so upbeat and actually really nice to write or work to. Take a listen, and post some of your favorite orchestral music!

Excellent song choice, Ian! What a unique song. I love the conductor's way of conducting.

This is my all-time favorite orchestral piece:

I completely forgot to mention that the conductor is the composer, Leonard Bernstein!
