Level of the Year 2023 & 2024

Yep, you read that right. Both years.

Since the end of 2024 is approaching, and I reminded myself that I never hosted Level of the Year voting for last year, here's your chance to vote for 2023. Same general format as it has been in the past, although it does not include every level from the year, and instead the ones that were generally average or above. In case I missed anything, the last part of the form prompts any write-ins that you'd like to submit (obviously optional), and any submissions will be featured in a mid-round before the last round of the ten best levels.

First round ends sometime around 2-3 weeks from now, and the final round will be live until the end of the month, where I'll post results and begin the voting for 2024.

This has happened twice already, so I need to mention more clearly: write-ins this round are only from 2023. Wait for January to submit levels from 2024.

Hi Nockess, do you know when the deadline for this is? I'm almost done playing through all the 2023 levels, and I'll submit my form within the next couple days. I just don't want to suddenly be past the deadline and unable to submit my votes.

Hi NF, I was going to give it another few days, to have about a full week for the top 10, and then announcing the results on New Year's along with the 2024 form. Let's say until the end of Christmas or so before the next round.

Also, I think I allowed editing submissions, so feel welcome to get votes in now for the levels you've already played and finish later on, if you're worried about missing the deadline anyway.

Round 1 voting has closed! 17 submissions were entered, one more than last year. Here are the top ten levels for the next round (in alphabetical order), which were decided by the highest averages:

Top 10 round voting involves ranking the levels from 1 (least best) to 10 (best); please do not put the same rank for two levels or I will disqualify the submission. You are able to edit your submission, if you make a mistake or change your mind about anything. Voting closes at the end of New Year's Eve.

What are you going to do with all those submissions which weren't filled out correctly? Will they get another chance to vote correctly, or are you going to amend the way the voting works so that they are valid submissions? I hope that regardless of the way you choose, their votes will still be counted. The more people whose votes count, the more fair this is.

I don't think there's a lot that I can do about the incorrect submissions - I turned off email collecting on the form (for obvious reasons) so I can't contact someone directly, my best alternative is probably posting screenshots on Discord or here on the forums.
The other problem with counting votes from those submissions anyway is, since the ranking is effectively giving 1-10 points for a level, not all levels would have the same number of votes and that obviously isn't a fair game then.
I'll see if there's a better solution for the 2024 levels, but if not then it wouldn't be a massive problem. I figured the instructions were clear enough anyway.

Exact same process as last time: rank levels 1-7 (skip the ones you're unfamiliar with) and submitting write-ins if you choose, all which takes places over the first three weeks of January. The Top 10 round will finish the month.
