Welcome to Marblemaster1's levels!

Hello! My name's Marblemaster1, and despite what it may seem I've actually been on the forum since 2010. This is my levels topic.

Tidal Surge

Tidal Surge is a PlatinumQuest Gem Madness level with a unique mechanic: every so often, the water will quickly rise and fall. And of course, you can't swim! This level has a lot of potential for speedrunning tactics; I set the Platinum and Ultimate scores to be consistent with my own skills, with Platinum being what I can get on an average attempt and Ultimate being a few gems below my high score. It currently has no Awesome score because, well, I'm not awesome enough to know what it should be.

NEW: An alternative version that's permanently at high tide, but the marble has taken swimming lessons. Explore the same map in a new way!

Download: marbleland.vaniverse.io/level/30945
High tide: marbleland.vaniverse.io/level/30948

Hazardous Crossings

Hazardous Crossings is a straightforward but challenging level that demands good reflexes and planning. Although it doesn't have many shortcuts, I feel like it has decent speedrunning potential. It is VERY challenging, but I've done my best to make it fair. And yes, it's based on a certain level from a certain other video game.

Download: marbleland.vaniverse.io/level/30947

Below are my old levels from years past. Most of them are pretty bad, though there are a few okay ones. For a real trip to the past, read the next few posts in this topic and we can laugh together at how much of a noob I was back then.
Warning: Spoiler!

OK, so it's not The Ultimate Challenge Contest, but here are 2 more levels: The Upward Paths!

Upward Path 1: A nice, easy course that gets you used to wall-hitting, bouncy floors, and half-loops. Recommended for beginners.

Upward Path 2: An almost-challenging course with half-loops with obstacles, wall-scaling (there's more of it in The Ultimate Challenge Contest(Which is horribly outdated; go play 3-fold skill course or something)), tornadoes, and Pokemon textures, just because I can.

EDIT: Wow, I was a noob back when I wrote this. Re-wrote it in a more... mature fashion.

Do not triple post. And also, rename the title to marblemaster1's levels or something like that by using the Modify button that is on the top right corner of your post.

Hi all!

I've built another level (which you can probablly guess if you are reading this )
It's called:
Roller Coaster!
Improvments over Upward Path 2:
-You can now put the interiors in the interiors folder, no need for lbinteriors.
-all the interiors ARE there, I tested it.
-QuArKed moving platforms! (could not have been possible without the guide How to: Custom MPs, so thanks a lot perishingflames!)

Enjoy!

Update: There is a secret to beating this level. If you don't know it, the level is almost impossible(though I've beaten it without using the secret)
PM me if you want to know it. When I get enough PMs, I'll post it here.

I don't think so. I've never seen another level called Roller Coaster.

I guess so.

Don't change the name to The Rolling Coaster as it's also taken.

grrrr..

you probably have like 20 versions of this level floating around the forum. Edit your first post, use Localhostr (not forum attach feature), and scrap all the old versions.

Here's another level- Volcano! It is quite short, but I tried to make it challenging but fun.
Note: I did NOT design the lava texture, I got it on Google Images. You'll need Andrew's skybox Lava Flow. (Andrew, if you want me to delete the link, PM me and I'll do so.)

Pros:

- I don't see any misalignments, other than the lava pit bottom showing on the outside.
- It's always good to use custom textures if you can
- This level is a bit more challenging than some you've made.
- Emitters = good.

Cons:

- What kind of 'lava pit' is really perfectly rectangular?
- The multicolor thing seemed out of place
- The texture you used, didn't repeat very well, and it was very obvious
- Tons of the mines were sunk into the interior
- No real originality.

Preliminary Score: 4/10

First try: 00:13.53

Best time: 00:11.11

I would have done something more realistic than the multicolor, but I was working on it with my friend and he insisted on using it.

Hi everyone!

As you can probably guess, I've made another level!
This one is called Elemental Blast!

I'm giving out zero details in this post , you can learn them by playing the level.

Also, remember to read the readme, it has important stuff in it.

I know! Since you have no level ideas, why don't you team up with me to make my level Mine Field Revisited?
