Hi people.
I have been gradually learning Constructor 1.04 for Mac, and I have made two levels so far. I plan to make more, so as time goes on and I get more creative, I will post more levels in this topic. Here are my first two. The first one is very boring but the second one is slightly more exciting. Please give me feedback so I can improve my level building skills.

Maybe you should try a different way or giving out your levels, like a different format - check someone like Buzz's topic and you'll know what I mean.

You should try to put pictures of your levels so that we can see what they look like before downloading them!

Because lazy as I am, I won't ever download a custom level without seeing what it looks like :p

I tried these levels out. 002 was very fun, and I especially enjoyed the first challenge with the nuke; I can't say I've ever seen that idea before. Very enjoyable to replay too. My best time is 2.44, and here's a fun challenge: best elapsed time. Mine is 8.89.
As you make more levels and get more used to Constructor, try experimenting with moving platforms and scenery and stuff. But good start. Looking forward to more.

002 was an interesting level. I liked the nuke concept and the Random Powerup adds a fun spin to it. Best time is 2.24.
Spaghetti - I'd suggest making the levels bigger and finding some nice textures for the walls.

Thanks so much for the constructive criticism, folks! Rozi, what do you mean about a different format? I saw Buzzmusic's post but I don't exactly know how he got it in that format. I am also putting a picture in.

002 was a cool level. I enjoyed the use of the [strike]forgotten[/strike] Random Powerup. Platinum and Ultimate time were well set and a fun challenge.

I am also putting pictures. 001 is basically an IC test. And yes, I will make them longer, but I don't know how to make moving platforms yet. My best time in 001 is 1.254, and 002 I haven't fully optimized yet.

It's a little bit hard to explain. I'll see if I can make a video.

Okay, I'm in the process of making another level. I bet you can't guess what it's called.
But I did put another name after the 003 part. It's the growth pattern of squares, a mathematical design. It looks pretty cool, but I'm having some issues with Constructor. I'll ask HiGuy about it. I am open to tips about Constructor, as I don't really know what I'm doing yet and I don't want to make a long level in case anything goes wrong, which it did this time. Thanks!

Hmm...Probably best to Skype someone who's experienced (I'm an option).

There is a minor dilemma to that, and that is that I don't have Skype. However, you could PM me. Also, I am going to make an extended version of the growth pattern of squares with many more squares. It could be interesting. I will also do hexagons.

I believe Skype is free and it's easy to get.
It's also easier to explain over Skype because you can explain while the process is in action. There's also tutorial I can make one...?

Thanks Rozi, a tutorial would be great. I just spent a few hours making two levels with the growth pattern of squares, now I just have to add gems.

I just spent quite a while putting in gems and the like, but I have made a new level. It's called "003: The Growth Pattern of Squares". I don't really know any other way of attaching it, so I'm just going to attach it to this post. Let me know how it is or if there are any problems please!

Can't try the level right now (I will later) but you can upload files to mediafire or dropbox or the mb site itself.

2. Upload
Not hard at all

Yes, I was thinking that once I get out of a level building craze, I will publish all of my levels on the MB website as one .zip file under Custom Levels MBP. Also, here is a screenshot of 003 so you can see what it looks like.

Sorry for the double post.
I'd like to do a level with curves in it, but I have no idea where to begin. Could someone offer me tips please? Thanks!

Yes, thank you. I made a half pipe just like Perishingflames'. I will explore that more later so I can experiment with curves.

I decided to attempt something in Constructor again after over a year! See what you think of it.

I quite like this level.

You can fix the missing faces on the interior either by setting the grid size to a small power of 2 (like 0.0625) then selecting all of the vertices and using the quantize button (if there are red edges afterward this will of course not work), or by cutting and pasting brushes that export incorrectly to another interior.
