Can members request musics?

You forget a thousand things everyday. Make sure Marble Blast isn't one of 'em.

Ralph - Matan has already chosen the music, so you don't need to request any.

tbh I like the intermediate runs a bit more than the advanced ones since they had a bigger improvememt, most notable Hoops and GD.

also

This update is scheduled to begin collection of records immediately and continue up until October 1st, 2014. Any further submissions beyond that will be declined

Marble Blast Gold World Record Rampage #4 :: Intermediate

Some may say this is the best part of the rampage, and it definitely has some massive highlights. Hoops, Great Divide are impossibly wow (GD over 100 hours for doing the impossible). Monster Speedway is insane, Upward Spiral & Tri Twist great improvement and oh my can the awesome train cannot be stopped here.

This WRR is a 72 levels improvement over the last rampage and 25.523 seconds faster. Intermediate has nearly 10 seconds improvement here, missing by just a few hundredths.

We would like to thank all the runners for hundreds of hours of work being put into recording the runs and IsraeliRD for compiling everything. It took us many hours to record everything, with levels like: Great Divide, Hoops, Tightrope, Siege, Pathways, Pipe Dreams, Skyscraper and others taking dozens of hours to record. Even simple levels such as Gyrocopter, Hop Skip and a Jump or Tornado Bowl were a lot harder to do than might meet the eye.

We would also like to thank many members of the community (we love you all!) and the fantastic developers of Marble Blast Gold who gave us a very enjoyable game. We would also like to thank the SDA staff for all their work into maintaining this site.

Please visit us at marbleblast.com where the community is.
This run will be available on SDA from the 28th February on speeddemosarchive.com/MarbleBlastGold.html

We hope you enjoy!

Kalle proved to be as good as Pascal in every aspect possible, and this part of the rampage shows only the insane runs by him. Hoops and Great Divide are my personal favorites. Now I can't wait to see what runs he has in store for us in the Advanced section.

" Oh no, you DID NOT have done that..."

That pretty much sums up my reaction to this video. MS and MSQ great improvements, the speed Kalle managed to pull was totally insane. Hoop's path was totally unexpected, also I have no idea why the screenshot glitch was needed in the second edgehit...? Great Divide was completely unreal. I call hacks.

There's an OOB trigger if you try to jump there - that's what made the route so incredibly difficult.

Personal favorites are Hoops (duh), Monster Speedway, The Wave (it just looks cool), & Tri Twist! Great job though on all levels :)

Wow.. That was insane.

Awesome job on Hoops. On Great Divide, have to go with Imp here: hacks!

Amazing how easy you made all those paths look, Kalle, if I wouldn't have known how much precision was necessary to pull that off I'd say: Meh, let me go on and replicate that. :P

Popping back in here for a bit just to say: this is the most epic WR rampage of all time! And just when I thought you guys couldn't do any better, or shave times off any more! :D

(and yes, I'm still around somewhat...though I don't play MB anymore, I'll try to post more if I can :))

I was always annoyed by the fact that there is a "!" after the sqrt(16) in that image, because mathematically, sqrt(16)!=24

Whenever I write an exclamation point after a mathematical expression (and I try to avoid that), I put a space between the last character and the exclamation point to distinguish it from a factorial.

A time can be beaten, but a path can't be rediscovered. The best path stays forever.

Marble Blast Gold World Record Rampage #4 :: Advanced

I used to say after the third WRR that I’m not even bothering to play MBG anymore for WRs since I don’t have the patience to attempt anything and that some levels are just beyond my skill level. This time around Dushine joins this statement and I’m sure a lot of others are going to say that as well.

I can’t stop WOW-ing at all the improvements here and the many highlights. Be it the oldies like Siege, Survival of the Fittest and Half Pipe Elite, or the new shockers like Three-Fold Maze, Tube Treasure, Airwalk or… actually a lot. There is lots to like here. I can’t stop watching Skyscraper’s mess up becoming a World Record, my heart keeps missing a beat at the end of Great Divide Revisited every time, or the Restart Screenshot Glitch being coupled with a regular Screenshot glitch on Freeway Crossing, and so much more. It is truly one of the greatest videos of Marble Blast of all time.

This WRR is a 72 levels improvement over the last rampage and 25.523 seconds faster. Advanced has slightly more than 12 seconds improvement here, but 38 levels improved over WRR3.

This run will be available on SDA from the 28th February on speeddemosarchive.com/MarbleBlastGold.html

We hope you enjoy!

There is so much insanity in this video that I don't dare to watch over again. Money Tree, Pathways, Skyscraper are among the most impressive runs, with GDR having the tightest traplaunch ever. I say this is right up there with MBP WRR#2 expert. With that being said, audio commentary WHERe?

You have to download the AllLevels run from speeddemosarchive.com/demo.pl?MarbleBlastGold

Then watch it with VLC media player. (There might be other options, but I use VLC)

When watching it, click on audio, audiotrack and then pick either track 2 or 3.

How? It doesn't let me do anything with it, it just opens up the video with Quicktime and starts playing it, without commentary.

Have you downloaded/installed VLC?

If you have, right click on the file, then Open with... And then select VLC media player.

Marble Blast Gold World Record Rampage #4 :: Bloopers

We all had our fair share of great runs that for one reason or another didn’t manage to finish. Some runs we just did for fun, and others… well, hard to describe. This set of bloopers has a couple of new paths and lots of fails on the current ones. Some are painful to watch but most are hilarious, though for our beloved runners they were anything but funny. Sometimes.

This is the SDA encode for the bloopers, and it lists all runners we had for this rampage.

Fantastic bloopers, skyscraper sign bugs are wicked, Dive and GDR ones are pretty heartbreaking. SotF ones are ridiculously funny, no idea Kalle tried that hard on that level. :P Good to see another rampage is officially finished.

Hoops by Xelna and Kalle - I was the first to show that you could reach the end without activating any of the final hoops

Great Divide by IsraeliRD - Double traplaunch was known since 2008 but was considered too hard. So I think he deserves credits too for discovering it.

Skyscraper - I think you need to add iMacmatician since he's the one who spent the most time working on paths for that level, by far (and the route you used is like... 90% his)
