SUPPORT BOARD OVERVIEW & TIPS:

About Receiving Help from the Support Board: While all members may answer questions posted in the Support board, you should only rely on responses posted or confirmed by support moderators and website administrators. Any solutions provided by members of the community that are not verified by a staff member (as indicated by a light-green background) are provided as-is, and we cannot take responsibility for any of the results of said actions.

About Responding to Support Threads: If you feel you know the answer to a question, you are welcome to respond to the thread and politely offer assistance. Please be courteous and try to provide detailed and helpful solutions to users who may not be as advanced as you. We ask that you refrain from posting one-sentence solutions.

Please search for existing topics before creating one! It's quite likely someone else has already encountered a similar issue which was resolved. You can search for existing support threads by clicking here .

Can I get my old account details back? My bro played a trick on me for April Fool's that deleted my MBF account.

I thought this forum was for Marble Blast support only, so you should either go here www.marbleblast.com/index.cgi?board=bugssuggest
or PM an active staff member.

Hey there,

I am not sure what can be done on our end. I believe IsraeliRD is the only user that has the ability to modify user accounts or attempt to retrieve information other than what we see on the front-end. As far as account recovery goes, it may be lost permanently. You may have to contact ProBoards support, but I am not sure how useful they will be, either.

Did your brother know your account details? I would strongly recommend you do not share your authentication details -for anything- with -anyone-.

Thanks,
~Aayrl

It can be done, only if you have all the admin powers and then restore the information of the user, the only thing that can't be undone are the threads, you will have to make them again and ask for someone to delete the old ones, if you can get your account back to normal.

Just giving information, when I was admin in MBFuture forums I explored everything about admin powers

The weirdest signature that I ever requested

Technically you still have all threads/posts attached to you since your username is the same as the deleted one. The only stuff you don't have are signature, avatar, custom text etc. from your profile and number of posts but that's SUPER easy to do because any global mod of these forums has such powers, as well as myself.

If you can PM me what were your number of posts I can give that to you back.

It's because of situations like these that I want a way to sort the forum members by posts per day. I'm sure I or someone else could write a script to grab all the names/numbers and sort them, but is it possible for the official Members page?

Since ProBoards is totally awesome and free, they maintain all of the databases, and as a consequence we can't actually look at any large sums of information at once. We would have to manually locate each post and attach it to the user account.

ProBoards claims to allow us to make backups of databases in V5, but we haven't seen any outstanding features that allow us to manipulate anything on the back-end.

Though something tells me in the near future ProBoards won't be a problem for us...

Sounds suspicious... maybe a bigger forum upgrade than I had thought?
