I've been playing MBP 1.20 regularly. Lately, however, it's been freezing a lot. I frequently play a regular level and then at a random time, the game stops responding and I have to force quit. It bugs me especially now since I'm making a level and I lose my progress each time I have to force quit.

My computer in general isn't getting slower, and aside from a little bit more screen capturing and downloading MBP 1.50 Beta 1, I haven't been doing anything differently since MBP was fine.

I use a Mac-Mini Snow Leopard OSX. Any help would be appreciated.

I can't say I've had regular freezes with MBP 1.20. Are you able to recover from the freezes by waiting a couple minutes? I rarely had any crashes with that version, and they were probably memory/CPU faults. A freeze could be any combination of problems. If it's frequent, could you upload a console log after the crash? Any crash console log will work, but a traced one would probably help more. You could also try and describe where it is more likely to freeze.

For making it crash less, have you tried making it 16-bit? If it's a memory issue, that should reduce the likelihood of a crash/hang.

Also, sometimes the game outputs more information if you log to a terminal console window. You can run the game this way by opening the Terminal application, and then by showing the contents of the MarbleBlast game and navigating to Contents/MacOS/MarbleBlast Gold. Drag the executable file into the terminal window, and then type -console into the window. After it enters, you should see the console pipe into the terminal window. After it freezes/crashes, you can copy the tail end of it here, if there are any errors not in the log.

But first, just upload your log, please.

I tried 16-bit. At first it seemed to make MBP work better, but it proceeded to get worse and worse. In the console log, here are three recent times MBP crashed.

That's the user/system log. It just shows that you "Force quit" it. The game creates a console.log in you library. Can you upload that?

Also, how long does the music and sound persist after it freezes?

Final though: Have you restarted your computer? Sometimes memory corruption can occur, and it takes a restart to fix it.
