#1:When I take a screenshot of one of my levels and paste it into MS paint, the picture comes out entirely black.

#2: I have a 'blank' level that I'm trying to get rid of, but when I go to Marble/data/missions/custom to delete it, it's nowhere to be found...is it hiding somewhere else perhaps? It shows up in the game no problem, but the .mis file doesn't. But if it shows up up in the game, it's gotta be somewhere, right?

I just started playing MBG again and it's been several years since, so I've been trying relearn everything.

I feel I should point out that I use Windows 8 now and I've heard that MBG isn't compatible with it (I'm not sure if that has anything to do with, since I had no trouble downloading/playing the game). Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thank you!!

#1 Maybe try to take the screenshot with printscreen in windowed mode. Also it's been awhile since i've played MBG as I usually play MBU so this may be wrong but if you want to make a level picture use Ctrl-L and if you want to take a screenshot use Ctrl-P (might be Ctrl-I).

#2 Load the level in game, and then view the console with (~) the key below escape. (F10 on mac I believe) and it should show the level path near the bottom.

Also Windows 8 is infact compatible with MBG as I use Windows 8.1 and it works fine (I also used to use Windows 8 and it worked fine there too).

There may be some subtle incompatibilities with the newer versions of Windows, but so far, there have been no issues that I am aware of as of late. That may change in the future, though, so no promises with Windows 10 and later. If you can, try running it on OpenGL rendering mode (see the in-game options).

To take a screenshot (in general) on Windows, you can press the PrtScn/Print Screen/SysReq key, which I believe copies the screen directly to the clipboard. Then you can paste it into Paint, and it should appear. Not sure if being in windowed mode helps or not -- first time I've heard of that.

F10 is the default for GarageGames versions of MarbleBlast Gold on Mac. However, you've made it clear that you're on Windows, so you should use the tilde ~ key. ;) Though, I should note that it may not show the path in MBG, but I would follow his second recommendation, assuming he tried it for himself.

By blank level, do you mean the mission template? I'd recommend keeping such mission if that were the case. Additionally try looking in data/missions/, or even data/, as the game may (possibly) be able to find the level there.

Comment back when you learn more! :)

Okay, I figured out the picture problem. The Ctrl-L thing worked, the picture just popped up when I exited the level...that was convenient, I didn't even know you could do that haha.

As for the file, I don't see it in either data or missions. I hit the tilde key and it said the file was in the customs folder, but I still don't see it.

I've attached a screenshot of it...

Naw, that's just the game loading and starting the level. ;)

Sorry that I didn't see this sooner. Screenshots should probably be going into the base directory of the program. It's possible that it's saving into a "hidden" directory. The only time I ever recall something like this happening is with Windows making a hidden folder called "VirtualStore". If you go to Folder Options, there should be an option to toggle Hidden folders. If you find such a folder (containing some sort of "MarbleBlast" folder inside), check the customs area as well. It may very well be in there.

There's also a chance that I totally missed the issue. It's definitely possible. Please check back. :P

Closing this, as you never replied back if you solved your issue. If you did, then go ahead and PM me that so I can mark this for further reference to others.
