So I restarted my computer and MBPU won't start. The MarbleBlastPoweredUp-file doesn't have the MBG icon anymore. And when I try to open it, it just lets me choose a programme to open the file with. If I choose the normal MBG, then I get

Sounds like the file corrupted somehow. Did your antivirus software get mad? I'm clueless on this issue, I'd recommend copy-pasting the executable file(s) from the download archive to the location of the executable.
I'm assuming Windows. Naturally I think of:
-- Broken registry
-- Broken file associations
-- Broken antivirus
-- Broken filesystem
-- Broken Windows Explorer
-- Broken updates
-- Presence of Windows Operating System.
Have you tried reinstalling with the launcher? Copy the old files/times just in case.
Also try selecting itself as the executable (not sure if Windows allows that), or select the marbleblast executable present in the folder.
Windows-bashing aside, could you upload a zipped copy of the console.log file for MBPU?

Just a hunch ... maybe the .exe was deleted by antivirus (or you just couldn't find it), and you're trying to open the Linux executable that happens to be bundled with the Windows build because I was lazy?
And if Kalle can't even open MBPU, I highly doubt a console.log will help. Just saying.
I think it was an antivirus. I'll just try to redownload it after deleting my current one.

Does your re-downloaded version work correctly? If so, could you please indicate that so we can mark off antivirus as the issue? And, wondering, what is your antivirus software/brand?
Yes the redownload works properly, I even had all progress saved from the broken version.
I used norton as antivirus. Although I have deactivated it now as it likes to block Marble blast mods but lets malware infect the computer all the time.
