I've encountered a problem with the forum.

In a forum, whenever I'm looking at any page other than page 1, and I try to click on page 1, it doesn't go to page 1; it ends up staying on the same page I was looking at. If I go to the forum homepage and then click on the same forum, it stays on whichever page I was looking at previously. For example:
  1. Looking at Marble Blast Support, page 2
  2. Clicks page 1, stays on page 2
  3. Goes to homepage, clicks Marble Blast Support, page 2 appears
What's up with that?

I've noticed that. It's an issue relating to the presence of "deleted" topics or posts, visible by staff but not by normal users, which in turn causes some sort of miscount and so it delivers what it thinks is the first/last page. I don't know any solution to it, except, maybe, relogging into the forum again?

I think it might be more of a bug/issue in Joombla itself, which these forums are built on. It would likely involve directly editing the architectural code.

The way I get around it is by putting "?start=1" at the end of the URL.

Can confirm the reported issue. I have logged a ticket with Kunena support to see if they can provide some insight into the matter. In the meantime, you will need to manually enter "?start=1" at the end of the URL if you're looking at the base support forum. Not sure if any other boards are effected by this issue.

It is not related to deleted topics, it has something to do with the pagination of topics and the htaccess url-rewrite rule defined by the Kunena plugin.

Update: I have determined the root cause and a solution for the issue and will be patching it this coming Sunday.

Hey, I'm actually curious as well. Could you explain (or in someway message) exactly what the issue was? I'd like to know.
