SUPPORT BOARD OVERVIEW & TIPS:

About Receiving Help from the Support Board: While all members may answer questions posted in the Support board, you should only rely on responses posted or confirmed by support moderators and website administrators. Any solutions provided by members of the community that are not verified by a staff member (as indicated by a light-green background) are provided as-is, and we cannot take responsibility for any of the results of said actions.

About Responding to Support Threads: If you feel you know the answer to a question, you are welcome to respond to the thread and politely offer assistance. Please be courteous and try to provide detailed and helpful solutions to users who may not be as advanced as you. We ask that you refrain from posting one-sentence solutions.

Please search for existing topics before creating one! It's quite likely someone else has already encountered a similar issue which was resolved. You can search for existing support threads by clicking here .

I think that a section for Marble Blast Engine Discussion would be a great idea! If not, tell me where you can ask questions about the engine and the capabilities if it.

I'd vote for this. Maybe as part of the MBDK?

What exactly would people talk about in there? If you mean reverse-engineering and low-level stuff, I don't really think it would benefit enough people on here for it to be worthwhile. Most questions can probably just go in the MBDK Coding subforum.

Having a forum dedicated to the MB Engine is useless, not enough use in typing up for so very few people to make use of it. If you have a TorqueScript question, just use the coding help thread (you are allowed to bump it). Regarding the actual engine, not much is needed to be said. Just look around on the forums, there's a lot of posts about the engine that will find bits and pieces. Anything more would be a waste of our time (which we already have little of with work, school, Platinum/PQ and other projects that we dedicate our time too).

I am a programmer. Most here know me for being one of the major contributors to Marble Blast Platinum and PlatinumQuest.

Well, it would be a good place to ask questions about the engine, and also people could post tutorials and various finds such as offsets. It would be similar to the current MBDK Coding section except for C++. Other things that could go in here are any bugs people find in the engine such as the math bugs with the gravity mods (or whatever it was).

I think this would be a very good way to organize thoughts and ideas about the engine, and it would also make specific posts easier to find.

Completely agree with Jeff. Also MBPU showed a lot of capabilities of MB engine and I think he would be happy to explain how he (whirligig) did some of his stuff. MB modding has sortof died and isn't nowhere near huge to receive it's own documentation in first place.

Some guy that does DTS shapes and levels.

AWESOME time HINT : When making PQ level place your custom interiors and textures in platinum/data/interiors_pq/custom
makes life easier for you and everyone else :)
