Can you be more specific? When does it crash? Does anything in particular cause it to crash? What operating system are you using?

This signature is real code
Code:

Hello Gyrobounce,

A few hotfixes have been released this weekend that may help stability issues. Are you still experiencing difficulties with game crashes? If so, can you please provide us with some instructions on what you're doing to produce the crash? E.g., launched game, clicked "Online", game crashed.

Thanks,
~Aayrl

It's still crashing.

All I'm doing is launching the game, picking a level, it works fine for about a minute and a half then it just freezes up completely with no warning messages

Might help if you provide a console log of a crashed session

Not sure if this is what you want but

I think what they want is when you play the game, before you crash:
1. Open up the console by pressing ` (the key next to 1)
2. Click Trace.
3. Wait for a crash.
4. A box will pop up that says, "Marble Blast appears to have crashed. Send your console?"
5. Click Yes.

If it crashes even before you get to play the game, then ask HiGuy or another staff member what to do.

I'm not sure if this is still a current issue, but in the crash log you posted, it seems like it's either trying to delete the Marble blasr root folder or trying to delete something in use or the files did not download completely. I can't exactly say how to fix this, but just in case, check your Antivirus settings and make sure marble blast is trusted.

Hi Gyrobounce,

Sorry to hear you are still having stability issues with your game client. I'm thinking there's some resource that's not being loaded or unloaded properly or a necessary file is not being read correctly. Couple of things I want you to try:

1) You mentioned you're using Windows 7. Are you logged in as a Local Administrator? If not, can you log in with an account that has Administrative privelages and see if that prevents the client from crashing?
2) Did you recently update any Video Drivers? Have you tried adjusting your video settings in-game to see if they have any effect?
3) Have you noticed any similar behavior with other applications on your system, or is this strictly limited to Marble Blast Platinum 1.60? (e.g., does MBG cause this issue?)
4) If you toggle the console ( ` key, to the left of "1"), Is the "Trace" box pushed down? If not, can you press it and then attempt to use the game normally and reproduce a crash? This will give us a more detailed understanding of what the application is trying to do at the time of the crash.
If you manage to snag a Trace, copy your Console.log from your root game directory and paste the last few lines here or email it to our contact email (marbleblastforums(at)gmail(dot)com).

Let me know which of the above you can provide further information on. Step 4 is probably the most critical, as it can provide us with the best source of information to look into the issue further.

Regards,
~Aayrl

1) No but i'll try that
2) No
3) No, MBP and only MBP crashes
4) It crashes on the level loading screens so i can't toggle the console

Open the console with ~, hit the trace button before u go to level loading, and then close the console with ~, and then load a level. attach a console.log here.

Try pressing ctrl+t instead. It does a trace log as well. Do so after right before pressing play on the level and then quickly press play.

Hey Gyrobounce, can you re-download the launcher and try running the latest one. I want to know if the new one still has this bug for you.

Have you set MBP to fullscreen mode, by any chance? The new shader engine might have issues starting up in fullscreen. If that's the case, you can click "Open Game Directory" in the newest launcher and zip & upload the console.log file there. Or, you could try editing mbpPrefs.cs to change the video pref "fullscreen" to 0 (assuming that's the case), and deleting the file mbpPrefs.cs.dso before you start.

On a side note I've attached my system info in case there's something that's not compatible with the game

Chances are good your graphics card cannot support the new shader engine. Try setting your graphics quality to Medium or Low. That should disable the new graphics, and hopefully fix your problems. Let me know if that does/doesn't work for you.
