Overview:
Welcome! As you may or may not know, this year marks the 10th anniversary of the first modern Marble Blast tournaments, the 2v2 tournament hosted by Ian Cordle, and the 1v1(v1) tournament hosted by Frostfire, both on Marble Blast Platinum 1.50. The multiplayer tradition has evolved much since then, and has consistently hosted 32 players per year since the 2018 edition, which was hosted by the late hPerks.
Last year, Xedron won his second consecutive tournament, beating Eguy 5-3 in the finals.
As with previous tournaments, this will be hosted in PlatinumQuest, and will have a limit of 32 players. To sign up for the tournament, simply comment in the thread below that you would like to join.

June 3 (Pre-Seed Round) -
Gem-Hunt Pre-seeding:
As with the 2022 and 2023 tournaments, this tournament will have a pre-seed round. Each player will complete solo Gem Hunt runs on four randomly generated levels. Another person will have to accompany you in the server during your runs to confirm that you did not cheat your scores. They have the option of recording those runs on video if they so choose. Players are forbidden from respawning for a better first spawn - once you have entered the level you have started your only run.
Pre-Seed draw will take place on May 20th.
Pre-Seed round will begin on June 3rd.
Unlike the rest of the tournament, this section will be done on regular Hunt mode, not Competitive mode.
After you have completed the four maps, they will be tallied up. This will reflect the seeding order for when we enter the Swiss round.
Swiss Round:
This round begins following the end of the pre-seed week, and will last 6 weeks in total. You will be assigned a new match-up each week, generated by Challonge. For Week 1, your matchup will depend on how well you performed in the pre-seed round, and the subsequent weeks will depend on how well you performed afterwards. This mode, and all subsequent modes, will be done on Tournament Mode, so make sure it is on before you start your matches.
Each week will start at 7 AM Pacific / 10 AM Eastern / 2 PM Universal Coordinated Time.
The lower-ranked player gets to choose whether they pick first. For instance, #30 gets to choose if they face #29.
Each match is best of five (first to 3 wins). If the match is tied at two maps a piece (2-2), then the last map is randomized.
For the Swiss Round, you have a map cap of 3 - that is, you can pick the same map only 3 times in the Swiss Round only. This cap will be reset in the playoffs.
Playoffs and Play-ins:
Playoffs begin when the Swiss Round ends.
All matches are best of seven (first to four wins), except for the finals and bronze medal matches, which are best of nine (first to five wins).
For the play-ins, your map cap is reset. There is no map cap for the play-in round, this only starts once you enter the main playoff phase.
For the main playoffs, your map cap is reset. You will have a map cap of two. You will only get to pick your map twice for this entire phase of the playoffs.
No-shows:
People who fail to show up for a match will be penalized with a 3-0 defeat and -75 in points differential for each individual map forfeited (for a total of -225).
