I tried the run so many times, but in the sand part, I don't think I can jump over the water that fast. This is going to take a while.

EDIT: Mini Marble Golf - DC (14.29) .rec

This speedrun was harder than Mountaintop Retreat. So I will not be playing this level in the furter future.

I might try it once more.

EDIT 2: MMG DC (14.20) .rec

I won't send it to you because I could go lower. I keep getting
better.

EDIT 3: (13.69) .rec Woohoo!!!

Update: Dushine hasn't responded to my PM about Battlecube Revisited so I decided to try the level myself.

Good job both of you, edited list.

Man, those times... I wish I could play right now. I promise I'll record at least 1 level this week end.

Medieval Maze (24.57s) - This one took forever, I don't know why. Ending was so tight. Can still be improved by like 0.10 to 0.20 for someone who really wants to have this level beaten to dust.

Xuan, will you try for sub-13 on Excalibur?

Hi guys,

I am in the last 3 weeks of spring semester and I have difficult math homework, a midterm, and two finals coming up. To ensure I spend enough time on those tasks as I should, I will not be playing any Marble Blast from now until my finals are over (which will be around the end of this month). More generally, I will be fasting from the other video games I play as well (Minecraft, Half-Life 2, HL2 Episode 1, HL2 Episode 2, Portal 1, Portal 2, Minesweeper, Pinball) for that period. The only exception will be a maximum of 3 hours of Marble Blast to keep my skills up.

None of my Marble Blast plans have been canceled, just pushed back around 3 weeks. I still plan to do more levels and runs for this MBP WRR2, it's just that you'll see them at the end of April or sometime in May/June. Since we are 56% of the way done with levels for the WRR2 after 3 months and many of the low-hanging fruit levels have been picked off, I highly doubt it will be finished before I get back on MB (of course, that's not a bad thing).

I will still be on the forums and watch MB videos, at least for now. Happy Marble Blasting!

A time can be beaten, but a path can't be rediscovered. The best path stays forever.

Yeah I didn't expect this WRR#2 to be done in less than 4 months, mainly because members are busy with school and other stuff. During week ends, I'm at my parents' house and I'm playing on this big fast computer. When I'm at school, I live in an apartment with a crappy laptop and it lags like hell when I play MB so I can't do anything. I finish my semester on May 9th, but then I gotta find a job.

But even if all we've recorded so far are just the easy levels, it doesn't mean it will take longer to record the rest. You can spend like 3 or 4 hours on a short level just to improve it by 0.15 or 0.05 or whatever. On a big level, once you pull the path smoothly without any huge mistakes, you're kind of done with it. Unless you made a major blunder somewhere. I'm not saying longer levels are easier, but to beat them perfectly is not bound to happen anytime soon. And again, most of the long levels I've recorded so far for WRR#2 are nearly perfect except for Mastering the Marble which is near impossible (maybe 1.95 seconds mistakes in that run). Just pulling the path off is an achievement itself.

I expect to record 2 more levels this week end.

Edit :

Thief (18.59s) [FRAPs] - Improved by 5.29 over the WRR1 run.
Treacherous Path (5.24s) [FRAPs] - Best catch is 4.99 but too much luck involved so I'm done with it.

Your platformer .rec gives xelna and i only 14.52, not 14.44. I modified the first post to reflect this.

"matan, now i get what you meant a few years back when you said that "the level in mbg is beyond me" after the last rampage i noticed things were insane, and now i truly feel that too" - Dushine, 2015.

Good job both of you.

Blasted, do you think you can get sub-18 strategy climb?

Nihahhat, can you send Matan and I the .recs you have so far? Just so when everything's recorded we won't have to chase everyone for them.

After 6+ hours of searching and messing around, I finally found a new path on Battlecube Finale. I only found the path, now to tweak it and perfect it.

I only tested the new full path twice and both runs were horrible. I managed to finish 11 faces in 4:02 and the last side takes 15.00 seconds final time to complete. But yeah, those runs were crap. I don't know if sub-4 minutes is humanly possible but I'll sure give it a go.

Wow, can't wait to see it!

Awesome Hint:

Since the Awesome Time/Score is secret, you will have to beat it in order to find out what it is. Just practice every day, and be ready to keep pressing the 'Restart' button...A LOT!

I practiced part by part with level editor as a checkpointer. I managed to reach 1st gem of carpet floor (8th face) in exactly 2:00.00 and managed to complete the next 3 faces in 1:45.20 (checkpointed on the Gravity Switch to last floor). That means 3:45.20 and only 1 floor to go. The last floor can be done in 14.50 final time if done really fast. Therefore, Battlecube Finale can go sub-4 minutes, but will it be achieved? That is the question. With a super mega good start, I think it might be possible.

Edit :

Battlecube Finale (4:15.75s) - I didn't record it as it was a practice run. Made a bunch of mistakes for a total of 11-12 seconds. Will sub-4 happen? Place your bets.
